Franchise Leadership & Growth Virtual Conference, Day 1: Applying Consumer Marketing Strategies & Tactics to Franchisee Recruitment

Franchise Leadership & Growth Virtual Conference, Day 1: Applying Consumer Marketing Strategies & Tactics to Franchisee Recruitment

Franchise Update Media has changed its in-person Franchise Leadership & Growth Conference to a virtual event, to be held October 13–15, 2020. The conference, showcasing timely speakers and sessions, will focus on collaboration between C-suite, marketing, and sales and development executives, to learn the most effective growth strategies and best practices for franchising success in these challenging times.

“I’m thrilled that we’ve been able to build an innovative platform to showcase mission-critical information to help franchisor teams collaborate more closely and drive success in marketing, development, and leadership,” said Therese Thilgen, CEO of Franchise Update Media. “While we’re all longing for the days of gathering together in person, it was important for us to find a way to bring the incredible content that our Conference Advisory Boards, speakers, and team have put together at a time franchise leaders need it most.”

In speaking with franchisors, she said, their top priorities are 1) igniting business growth for their franchisees, and 2) reaching prospects to expand their system. “It is more important than ever for marketing and development teams to work together and lead their teams effectively to facilitate growth,” said Thilgen. “We’ve created this conference to help both teams collaborate more closely than ever to elevate their leadership and support their franchisees and prospects as we navigate toward a new normal.”

The newly christened Franchise Leadership & Growth Virtual Conference (FLGVC) will be held as a series of live, interactive sessions. Attendees can attend live events or take advantage of exclusive access to recordings at a later date, allowing them to actually experience more content and sessions than they would have at a live conference, at their convenience, from work, home, or anywhere.

Day 1 of the FLGVC kicks off on a computer, tablet, or cell phone near you at 9 am Pacific time, with an opening Keynote Speech by Stefan Olander, former Vice President of Global Digital Innovation at Nike. Olander combines a deep brand understanding with technological insights to create value for both consumers and businesses. In 2012, he was ranked #7 in Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business. Today, as founder of BrandNew, a boutique innovation studio, he is inspiring leaders, brands, and businesses to maximize their potential through engaging, thought-provoking keynotes and workshops. He also is the co-author of Velocity: The Seven New Laws for a World Gone Digital.

The keynote is followed at 10 am PDT by the first set of breakout sessions, which include a panel from the Franchise Development Track titled, “2021 Lead Generation Planning – Reach Your Franchise Prospect on Their Terms.”

Scheduled panelists are Dwayne Tanner, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development at N-Hance Wood Refinishing; Sean Hart, Vice President of Franchise Sales & Development at American Family Care; and Tray Doster, Director of Franchise Sales at Zaxby’s. The panel will be moderated by Graham Chapman, Vice President of Account Services at 919 Marketing Company.

In this session, panelists will share their experiences on how they determine which marketing strategies and tactics are best suited to reach their brand’s ideal target prospects – and how to put them into practice. The same types of research and strategic initiatives brands use to reach consumers can be applied to franchisee recruitment: presenting the right information, communicating it effectively, choosing the right media, and involving corporate staff and franchisees throughout, all of which can make a critical difference in how a prospect engages with your brand.

Today, more than ever, effective communication with targeted franchisee prospects can make or break your recruitment program. In this session, you’ll learn how to apply marketing strategies and tactics to your lead generation process to recruit new candidates who match your ideal target profile.
