"I joined the Dickey’s system in 2006, and a lot has changed in 11 years. When I first joined, the system was significantly smaller. The brand has grown exponentially in the last few years, which means the home office had to grow to accommodate. I’ve seen internal structure be put into place, which has helped us grow to where we are now. There has been a lot of change as we grew, but the best change by far is the training program. We have an online training program and daily videos that are great to train new employees and refresh the veterans. We are successful because we work hard to uphold the highest standards, and the training tools are great daily reminders for everyone."
"I am getting ready to open my fourth Dickey’s location, and I couldn’t be happier. I love barbecue and I love community involvement, and those happen to be my two keys to success. Dickey’s has changed for the better in the past few years. The best change by far, though, is the new restaurant design. The look is new and fresh, and it maximizes profitability. Communication is also always improving, and I think it’s awesome right now. We have two new committees, NOOC and RAAC, where Owner/Operators can give feedback, plus now we have an online forum to communicate as well. It really shows that Dickey’s wants to listen. I am very involved in my community and have a great catering business because of the tools the home office provides. I love being a Dickey’s Owner/Operator and look forward to opening additional locations."
