I Spy a Spaceship in my Corn Chip, the Liberty Bell in my Club Chalupa Shell

IRVINE, CA (Tuesday, May 24, 2005) - Whether it's a piece of toast featuring a "vision" of the infamous "runaway bride" or a corn chip imprinted with a spaceship image, America's delicious discoveries finally have a place to be shared and appreciated.

Taco Bell® is hosting the first online Food Sightings Museum at www.tacobell.com, to pay tribute to the recent phenomenon of people seeing images in various food items, including its own Club Chalupa. Available through June 18 at participating restaurants nationwide, the Taco Bell menu item joins other foods in the Museum to display perceived images on its crispy, Chalupa shell.

"Our customers definitely spend more time eating our Club Chalupa than admiring it, but with this growing phenomenon, they may consider glancing at the shell before they take their next bite," said Warren Widicus, chief food innovation officer, Taco Bell Corp. "We've had customers tell us they've seen everything from movie characters to the Liberty Bell in our Chalupa shells. This online tribute to food visions is a fun and playful way to engage our customers' senses beyond the overall Taco Bell experience."

Beginning today, Taco Bell invites customers to share their food sightings and submit a photo and description of any edible item bearing an image. Customers can visit the Food Sightings Museum of people's food visions and decide how authentic each food photo really is, whether it's the "Genuine Deal" or "Just a Meal" -- an unrecognizable image or one that has been manually altered.

The Company is providing an added incentive for submissions of Club Chalupa shell images. A one-month supply of Chalupas will be awarded to the person whose Club Chalupa shell entry is voted most favorite by website visitors from June 10 – June 16. All Taco Bell Club Chalupa shell entries must be submitted electronically by June 10, 2005. All other entries must be submitted electronically by June 16, 2005. Photos of all food types will be accepted.

For a limited time only, Taco Bell is offering its Club Chalupa at participating stores nationwide for $1.99. Combining Mexican-inspired flavors with classic "club" ingredients, the Club Chalupa is loaded with crisp bacon, marinated all white-meat chicken and a special tangy club sauce all wrapped in a crispy chewy Chalupa shell.

Taco Bell Corp., a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, Inc., (NYSE: YUM), is the nation's leading Mexican-style quick service restaurant chain serving tacos, burritos, signature Quesadillas, Border Bowls®, nachos and other specialty items. Taco Bell serves more than 35 million consumers each week in more than 6,500 restaurants in the U.S.
