Children's Lighthouse Signs Franchise Agreement to Expand Near Houston

Eleventh Learning Center in Houston Market to Offer More Local Families Educational Childcare

October 27, 2014 // Franchising.com // SPRING, Texas – Children's Lighthouse Learning Centers, widely recognized as the leading values-based, early-education childcare provider in the United States, announced today that it has signed a franchise agreement with Tony Overman and Zach Rogers to open a new location in Spring, Texas. The entrepreneurial team will open the Houston area's eleventh Children's Lighthouse Learning Center. The future school is slated to hold its grand opening in spring 2015 at 20004 Champion Forest Drive in Spring, Texas.

"There is no denying the growing demand for educational childcare here in the Houston area. More than ever, parents are putting a high priority on placing their children in an engaging environment where fun and learning come together," said Overman. "We're thrilled over the opportunity to introduce families in our community to the unique Children's Lighthouse experience."

The child development expert brings more than three decades of experience working with young people as a motivational speaker and film producer. In his most recent position as a commercial property manager, Overman helped construct several Children's Lighthouse Learning Centers in Texas and Kansas. His experience working with the Children's Lighthouse team and becoming acquainted with the award-winning concept drove him to launch his own center with his business partner, Rogers.

Most Children's Lighthouse Learning Centers span 10,500 square feet, providing ample space for children to learn in classroom and group settings, while also offering play areas both inside and out. On-site kitchens offer freshly prepared, healthy meals daily for students. Children's Lighthouse serves families with kids just a few months old to 12 years old. In addition to childcare during traditional school hours, highly interactive after-school programs and summer-camps are available for kids up to age 12.

The learning centers are safe and secure environments that give parents peace of mind with online video links to rooms, computerized building entry, security monitoring and transportation to and from area elementary schools.

With experienced educational childcare professionals guiding the company's operations, Children's Lighthouse has embedded the Lighthouse C.A.R.E.S.™ curriculum into its programming at all existing and upcoming schools. The integrated learning strategies of C.A.R.E.S.™ focus on students' intellectual development, social and emotional growth, active learning through hands-on lessons and embedded content that emphasizes the fundamental basics of phonics, reading, math, science and social studies.

"In my opinion, Children's Lighthouse will serve a very special need in our community. We will be providing parents a place where they can feel confident that their kids are safe and secure, while developing priceless and lasting learning habits," Rogers added. "Our Lighthouse will offer a loving and nurturing environment for the children in our community, providing parents with the utmost sense of security that their child is being cared for individually."

Children's Lighthouse is on a rapid ascent to the top of the educational childcare industry, and franchise investors are taking notice. Along with the forthcoming school in Spring, 20 new Children's Lighthouse Learning Centers are in development or under construction, preparing to join the 40 that are already operating. Additional schools are planned for Chicago, North Carolina and Texas.

"We are growing into new areas with talented individuals such as Tony and Zach, who share our passion for community, nurturing care and education," said Pat Brown, president and co-founder of Children's Lighthouse Learning Centers. "We couldn't be happier about adding another school in Spring and doing so with such gifted entrepreneurs. With their combined qualifications, Children's Lighthouse has a bright future in the region."

Launched 18 years ago, Children's Lighthouse provides entrepreneurs with the opportunity to open in attractive metropolitan areas. Ownership in a Children's Lighthouse franchise includes a full suite of support services, including site selection, financing guidance, construction administration, and grand opening marketing best practices. Children's Lighthouse's initial and ongoing training and support is led by an experienced team of childcare veterans, providing the franchise owner invaluable insight and leadership for the entire life of the franchise.
