Battery Giant Takes Charge in East Lansing

East Lansing, MI (PRWEB) November 14, 2014 - Battery Giant is opening the door to the future for store owners Bob and Fonda Cavin as well as the local East Lansing and the Greater Lansing community with a ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 11:00 a.m. on November 21, 2014.

The Battery Giant location at 1306 Michigan Avenue in the Gillespie Group’s Midtown Complex marks the 23rd franchise and sixth regional location for the Michigan-based battery company.

"We have always had the dream of owning our own business," shared store owners Bob and Fonda Cavin. "We discovered Battery Giant, and they discovered us, turning our dream into a reality. We are now taking charge of our own future, serving the East Lansing and Greater Lansing population as their battery experts."

The Take Charge Grand Opening Celebration runs from 11am – 1 pm on Friday, November 21, with a strong focus on the local community. Some of the dignitaries participating in the event include: Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero, East Lansing Mayor Pro Tem Diane Goddeeris, State Representative Andy Schor, Bob Trezise, CEO of Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP), Tim Daman, CEO of Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC), and Aaron Harris, President of Lansing Black Chamber of Commerce (LBCC).

Bob and Fonda Cavin would also like to invite the East Lansing and Greater Lansing community to join them and other local vendors in participating in the 30th Annual Silver Bells In The City in Downtown Lansing following the Battery Giant Grand Opening. "We are excited to be part of the neighborhood celebration that includes an electric parade, the lighting of Michigan’s official Holiday Tree and a fireworks show over the Capitol Dome," stated the Cavins. "We are looking forward to taking care of East Lansing & the Greater Lansing Community battery needs this holiday season and beyond."
