Backed by its Circle of Care Philosophy, Lightbridge Academy Grows in Eastern Pennsylvania

With one franchisee in the area already seeing success, Lightbridge Academy is looking to expand its reach.

October 12, 2016 // Franchising.com // Pennsylvania - For nearly 20 years, Lightbridge Academy has been living out its mission to redefine what it means to provide the best possible child care. The brand has emerged as a place where parents, franchise owners and staff work together to create an unparalleled environment for young children to develop and learn. And now, in an effort to bring its proven model to new communities across the country, Lightbridge Academy is targeting Eastern Pennsylvania for development.

The brand has already established a strong presence across the region—it has active child care locations in Brooklyn, New York as well as Long Island. Steve DiNunzio, a Lightbridge Academy franchisee, has also been successfully running his center in Eastern Pennsylvania for a little under a year. But he says there’s still plenty of room for the brand to expand in the area.

“There’s no shortage of child care brands out there but Lightbridge Academy is the only one that creates a complete program for the community, children, parents and educators. The Circle of Care philosophy is truly one of a kind,” said DiNunzio. “This comprehensive philosophy has become even more important as the trend continues to point to families with two working parents—they need to be able to trust their child care center to provide a nurturing environment. At Lightbridge, our entire business model is centered on building that heightened level of trust.”

Lightbridge Academy will undoubtedly continue to grow—right now, there are an estimated 14.5 million children enrolled in some form of child care program in the U.S. alone. To date, Lightbridge Academy boasts over 70 locations either open or under development.

Beyond its commitment to providing the same level of quality care to both children and their parents, Lightbridge’s impressive growth is fueled by its commitment to technology. The brand brings its Circle of Care philosophy to life by utilizing ParentView® Internet monitoring that provides parents with a live stream of their children’s classroom. Lightbridge Academy staff members also remain in constant communication with parents through their parent eCommunication app to send photos, video clips, important class announcements and a daily reports on their child’s achievements and activities throughout the day.

The innovative and high-tech approach is especially critical to the brand’s growth in the Eastern Pennsylvania market. DiNunzio says Lightbridge is the only center in the area that offers this focused approach and offers parents these unique services, helping to positioning the brand for rapid expansion. The company is looking for franchisees like DiNunzio who share its core values and also possess strong business management skills. Total initial investments typically range from $502,750 to $686,250.

“There’s a real demand for Lightbridge Academy’s services across the Eastern Pennsylvania market. Parents here are looking for higher quality educational programs and more support for them —right now, the only other options around us are small and even home care centers,” said DiNunzio. “Finding the right child care center is one of the most important choices a parent can make. Lightbridge Academy provide an unmatched service for busy working parents that’s been missing in this community, and it’s clear that families are already taking note.”
