Duck Donuts Expanding Warm, Delicious and Made-to-Order Donut Franchise to Green Brook, New Jersey

MECHANICSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA (PRWEB) October 14, 2016 - Russ DiGilio, founder and owner of Duck Donuts Franchising Company LLC, has announced the opening of his nationally celebrated donut franchise in the Mid-Atlantic region of Green Brook, New Jersey. The Green Brook location is the third franchise to open in the Garden State, following Avalon and Middletown.

New franchise owners Carrie and Scott Neigel are excited to introduce the first Duck Donuts franchise to Somerset County. The store is projected to open in early November at 215 Route 22 East, Green Brook, New Jersey, in Arthur’s Plaza. The 2,200-square foot location will feature select retail items with indoor and outdoor seating that reflects the franchise’s iconic beach theme and family-friendly atmosphere.

“Joining the Duck Donuts family has been a dream come true for us. We hope that our excitement is contagious throughout the Green Brook community and that our donuts become part of the local, family-friendly culture here,” says Carrie Neigel. “Whether you’re ordering a dozen donuts for the office or surprising your little ones on Sunday morning, we look forward to making each day a little happier and sweeter for our neighbors.”

“While visiting the Outer Banks last summer, we experienced our first-ever Duck Donuts donut. It was game over - we were instantly hooked from the first bite,” says Scott Neigel. “From the aroma you smell the moment you walk through the doors to the step stool for children to watch their donuts being made - we’re thrilled to share this unique experience with family, friends, locals, and donut lovers everywhere!”

Carrie is an active member of the Somerset Chamber of Commerce and is the primary manager of the Duck Donuts Green Brook location. The couple plans to open a second store in late 2017 in Madison, New Jersey.

“The unofficial motto of Green Brook is ‘small enough to know you, large enough to get things done.’ We share the same principles. As a company, we are proud to deepen our roots in central New Jersey, and grow alongside such a strong, vibrant business community,” says DiGilio. “Each franchise opening brings 25-40 new jobs to the local economy. Our team is thrilled to welcome Carrie and Scott to our Duck Donuts family, and we look forward to watching our donuts become a part of Green Brook’s family traditions.”

Located 18 miles southwest of Newark, New Jersey, Green Brook is home to the historic Washington Rock State Park, a 52-acre scenic state park on top of the first Watchung Mountain. Deriving its name from the powerful stream that flows up in the distant mountains, Green Brook has a population of over 7,200 residents.

Donuts at this location will be made fresh to order 7 days a week: Sunday-Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Wednesday-Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visit our Facebook page for updates and connect with us on the web at DuckDonuts.com.

About Duck Donuts

Duck Donuts was founded in 2006 by Russ DiGilio in Duck, North Carolina. His intention? To solve a family vacation problem: “Our family wanted a place to buy warm, delicious, made-to-order! donuts, and when we couldn’t find one, we decided to start our own.”

By 2011, Duck Donuts had expanded to four Outer Banks locations and the donut business was so successful that DiGilio was continuously approached about franchise opportunities and by fans who begged for a Duck Donuts in their communities. The first franchise opened in Williamsburg, VA, in 2013 and there are now 26 open franchise locations and 110 signed contracts.

Duck Donuts store openings are scheduled for:

  • Fayetteville, NC – Open as of October 14, 2016
  • Wilmington, NC – Open as of October 14, 2016
  • Gaithersburg, MD – November 2016
  • Columbus, OH – November 2016

The Duck Donuts Experience

“We discovered that the most powerful marketing advantage we have is the aroma of warm donuts wafting from every store. Our light vanilla cake donut is a little crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, made fresh right in front of you, hand-dipped in hot icing, and sprinkled with your choice of delicious toppings and drizzles. It’s that simple.”

Children love to stand on the strategically placed step in the waiting area, allowing them to see the entire process, as the donut machine cooks and carries their donuts down the line, where they are dipped, topped, packaged, and served warm in the box. Duck Donuts serves its own signature coffee blends - Riptide Roast, Light House Blend, and Sunset Pier Decaf with new special seasonal flavors changing throughout the year - and offers breakfast options, as well as catering services. Indoor and outdoor seating is available at most locations. For customers who don’t have a Duck Donuts in their neighborhood, or wish to gift a delicious box of Duck Donuts to someone far away, order specialty “Flash Frozen” donuts at http://www.DuckDonuts.com.
