Newk’s Eatery Expands In Jacksonville With Fourth Restaurant

October 18, 2016 // Franchising.com // JACKSON, Miss. - On October 24, Newk’s Eatery - a rapidly expanding fast-casual restaurant brand known for its foodie flair - is opening its fourth restaurant in the Jacksonville community. Located on 6025 Butler Point Road, Newk’s newest Jacksonville location will be setting up shop in the Galleria Marketplace development near the Southpoint area. This restaurant is the next in the line of as many as 30 new Newk’s Eateries opening throughout the Sunshine State over the next five years, following recent openings in the Orlando, Sarasota and Palm Beach areas.

“Jacksonville is a market we’ve always got our eye on, and we have plans to open additional locations in the area within the next year,” said Chris Newcomb, Newk’s Eatery CEO and Co-Founder. “Diners here have always been receptive to our restaurants, and we’re particularly excited to be taking what we’re known for best into a new branch of the community: exceptionally fresh ingredients, flavorful meals and our Southern-inspired hospitality.”

At Monday’s grand opening, the first 100 guests to walk through the doors at 11 a.m. will be receiving a limited edition Newk’s gift item, while the first 50 people in line will be guaranteed their fill of Newk’s flavors with a complimentary $100 gift card.

Jacksonville’s latest Newk’s Eatery can be found near JTB and Phillips Highway at 6025 Butler Point Road. The new restaurant will offer indoor dining for 136 people, as well as patio dining for 20 more, in its 3,788 square-foot space. Additionally, Newk’s will provide roughly 50 job opportunities for local applicants and will be open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. 

Sourcing the finest, freshest ingredients - including imported cheeses and prime meats, hand-chopped seasonal vegetables and homemade dressings - Newk’s guarantees a dining experience that is as fresh as it is convenient. The restaurant handcrafts each of its fresh-tossed salads, artisan pizzas, hot-toasted sandwiches, kettle batch soups and scratch-made desserts in its signature open-view kitchens, drawing from the family recipes of its founding family, the Newcombs.
