November 10, 2016 // Franchising.com // Madison, N.J. - This Veteran’s Day, Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, the original Silicon Valley real estate startup founded in 1906, is honoring Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper Realtors agent Nikki Diamond-Jones’ customer, Rich Stinson, and his emotional homecoming in a new “Awesomeness” ad spot. When Rich Stinson, Lieutenant Colonel in the Army, got the news that he was returning home from his 13-month deployment in Afghanistan, he and his wife planned to surprise their five children at their home. His wife picked him up from the airport and he laid down in their family minivan until he knew his children wouldn’t suspect anything. Then he walked through the door and surprised each of his children, capturing the entire homecoming on film.
“These brave men and women in uniform are the reason why we have the freedom to enjoy our homes, so it’s hard to think of a more awesome moment than when an American soldier returns home. We wanted to pay tribute to all the American soldiers and veterans at home and overseas. That raw emotion of a son’s face when his dad walks in the door -– that’s the meaning of home.”
- Sean Blankenship, chief marketing officer for Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC
Ltd. Col. Stinson shares his story on the Coldwell Banker blog, Blue Matter: http://blog.coldwellbanker.com/militaryhomecoming

Stinson and his wife recently purchased their family home from Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper, Realtors located in San Antonio, Texas. As a military family, it was vital for their real estate agent to be their “eyes and ears” during the home buying process as they were unable to travel to Texas to look at potential homes. Realtor Associate Nikki Diamond-Jones understood the stress and uncertainty that comes with buying a home sight-unseen –- especially for a military family that has been stationed many different places. She made the home buying process seamless and stress-free for the Stinsons and they have since referred her to countless friends in the military who are assigned to San Antonio.
The new Coldwell Banker “Awesomeness” ad spot will run on NBC programming and online on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Past Awesomeness spots include a pregnancy announcement, laughing baby and bulldog trying to get his bone through the front door.
All of the ad spots are available at www.coldwellbanker.com/brand-experience.
