New Habit Burger Grill With Drive Thru Opens in Mira Mesa, CA

March 01, 2017 // Franchising.com // MIRA MESA, CA - Burger lovers in Mira Mesa will have a new reason to celebrate when The Habit Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq: HABT) opens a new restaurant featuring a drive-thru on Wednesday, March 1 at 10:30am. The new Habit Burger Grill, home of the award-winning Charburgers that are always grilled over an open flame and made to order, is located at 8340 Mira Mesa Boulevard, at the Mira Mesa Mall.

A handful of pre-opening events are planned, with the first taking place on Saturday, Feb. 25, where the first 200 guests will enjoy a free Charburger, fries and a drink during ‘Free Burger Day’ at 11:30am and again at 5pm. The next event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 11:30am, where the first 200 guests will receive a free chargrilled meal from pre-selected menus. Furthermore, on Tuesday, Feb. 28, starting at 11:30am, the first 200 people who visit the Habit will also enjoy a free chargrilled meal from pre-selected menus.

The Habit Burger Grill is committed to growth in the San Diego area and strives to take care of the communities in which they are located. As such, a fundraising event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 26, from 5pm to 7pm, supporting the Mira Mesa High School Sapphire Sound Band with 100% of the proceeds going back to the organization.

The more than 3,300-square-foot Habit restaurant seats 80 people with additional patio seating for 38 guests. The restaurant will be open Sunday 10:30am – 10pm (drive-thru open until 11pm), and Monday – Saturday 10:30am – 11pm (drive-thru open until 12 midnight).

The Mira Mesa location is the eleventh Habit Burger Grill to serve the San Diego area and the first to offer drive-thru service. Along with the ten locations spread throughout San Diego County, The Habit has a dedicated Habit Catering Truck in San Diego. The Habit Catering Truck features a state-of-the-art kitchen that is equipped to serve the company’s flame-grilled Charburgers, chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, fries and more, and is available for special occasions such as weddings, office parties, and birthdays.

The Habit is known for its award-winning Charburger which features 100% fresh, never frozen ground beef grilled over an open flame and topped with melted cheese, caramelized onions, mayo, pickles, fresh tomato and crisp lettuce and served on a toasted bun. The Habit has been serving the Best Tasting Burger in America exactly this way since the first restaurant opened in 1969.

Better burgers are just the beginning at The Habit where the menu also includes hand-cut salads, grilled sandwiches including line-caught, sushi grade albacore tuna, fresh chicken and hand-filleted marinated grilled tri-tip, and sides including onion rings, sweet potato and French fries and tempura green beans. Guests can choose from a variety of peppers, lemons, limes and sauces at a complimentary condiment bar to customize the flavor of their meal. The Habit also serves handmade shakes and malts.
