Quaker Steak & Lube® Invites Guests To ‘Round Up’ To Benefit Folds Of Honor

Fundraising Partnership With Budweiser To Help Provide Scholarships To Families Of Fallen Or Disabled Soldiers

May 30, 2017 // Franchising.com // Westlake, OH - The award-winning, family casual-dining restaurant Quaker Steak & Lube®, is combining forces with Budweiser® to garner donations for the Folds of Honor organization, which honors the sacrifices of fallen and disabled service men and women by providing educational scholarships for their spouses and children. From May 27 through July 4, Quaker Steak & Lube guests will have the opportunity to donate by rounding their check up to the next dollar, or more, and make a difference for these families.

“We chose the Memorial Day and July 4th holidays for this campaign to remember all of the sacrifices made by those who have fallen or become disabled as a result of serving in the armed forces,” said John Ponczoch, Senior Vice President of TravelCenters of America’s TA Restaurant Group, which owns and franchises Quaker Steak & Lube. “One great way to honor these heroes is to help provide for their legacy with educational scholarships, giving them hope and support for their future,” he added.

During the 6-week fundraising campaign, guests at participating Quaker Steak & Lube locations simply need to tell their server they want to “round up” their check for Folds of Honor. The guest can round up to the next dollar, or make a larger donation if they wish. Guests can also provide the name of the service member for whom they wish to honor with their donation.

For guests unable to make it to The Lube® during this time, a donation can still be made by texting their pledge amount along with #QSL4FOLDS to 36413 (message and data rates may apply).

Custom Budweiser 16 oz. aluminum bottles will be available at select Quaker Steak & Lube locations during the Folds of Honor campaign. Rounded up check donations can be made on food and/or beverage checks.
