Mosquito Squad Launches First Location In Berkshire County

First-Time Franchisees Expand the Brand’s Presence in Massachusetts

Mosquito Squad of Berkshire County is located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Jim Nichols and Judith Tierney, along with their long-time friend, Richard Asher. The trio provides the latest EPA-registered mosquito elimination services to communities throughout Berkshire County.

Asher was born in Pittsfield and has nearly two decades of experience in sales, marketing, management and operations with Motorola, Inc. and GE Plastics. A Siena College graduate, he’s a first-time franchisee but longtime entrepreneur and has owned his own business, Sideline Saloon, LLC, for more than 12 years. His partners, Tierney and Nichols, are also first-time franchisees. Nichols has more than 20 years of sales experience and currently owns his own insurance agency. Tierney has franchise experience from her involvement in her family’s Jiffy Lube and is also a current owner and co-operator of Friends Grille in Pittsfield.

“We were looking for additional opportunities and Mosquito Squad’s proven business model and exceptional support network was the perfect fit for us,” said Tierney.
