Painting with a Twist to Add Five Studios in California

The company has recently signed single-unit franchise agreements to bring studios to Costa Mesa, Lakewood, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Thousand Oaks, which are all set to debut by the end of the year. The influx of new studios add to the existing four locations Painting with a Twist operates throughout Southern California.

In January, Painting with a Twist Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer Renee Maloney went undercover on CBS’ hit series, “Undercover Boss” where she transformed the lives of four Painting with a Twist employees and shared the story of Painting with a Twist’s rise from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina into America’s largest paint-and-sip franchise.

The growth in California reflects the brand’s expansion in new markets throughout the country. In addition to the 39 states in which the company currently operates, Painting with a Twist will also open its first studios in Wisconsin, New Mexico and Arizona by the end of the year.

Led by local art instructors, guests paint on bare canvases using paint and brushes provided by the studio. In addition to the typical 16” x 20” canvas, the franchise also offers classes using different mediums to paint on including, smaller and larger canvases, seasonal set mini canvases and wooden cutouts, which are available in various seasonal shapes.
