Kumon Franchise Expands in Greater Charlotte with the Opening of its First Math and Reading Learning Center in Fort Mill, South Carolina

August 09, 2017 // Franchising.com // Teaneck, N.J. - Thousands of additional parents in Greater Charlotte will now have access to an individualized learning program for their preschool to high school aged children. Kumon, the world’s largest after-school math and reading program, is opening its first learning center in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

The new Kumon Math and Reading Center in Fort Mill is part of Kumon North America’s 2017 expansion plan to open 100 new centers in the United States.

“Greater Charlotte is the third fastest growing major city in the United States, making it an ideal region for Kumon’s expansion,” said Larry Lambert, vice president of franchise recruitment at Kumon North America. “The Kumon Method has proven successful in enhancing the lives of children in Greater Charlotte for over 12 years now and we are excited for our continued growth in the area.”

  • 44 percent increase in the number of centers in last five years
