August 22, 2017 // Franchising.com // Palo Alto, CA - theCoderSchool - recently identified as one of Entrepreneur magazine’s “top five franchises to watch” - has announced the opening of a new school on September 9 in Irvine, CA. TheCoderSchool of Irvine will aim to show a new generation of kids how galvanizing and stimulating technology can be, while coaching coding skills that are highly in demand and applicable across all industries.
The new school, located at 14200 Culver Drive Suite 200 in Irvine, will be owned by Will Tungpagasit, who also owns theCoderSchool’s Pleasanton, CA location. Tungpagasit’s background as a software engineer, combined with his desire to create healthy life-long relationships between kids and technology, led him to theCoderSchool. Tungpagasit ultimately plans to open 10-13 additional theCoderSchool locations throughout California over the next three years.
“I am thrilled to expand theCoderSchool’s footprint into Southern California,” said Tungpagasit. “theCoderSchool’s goal will be to show both parents and children in Irvine that learning to code does more than just open career doors - it’s a great creative outlet. The need for coders and programmers in this country increases every day, and through our project-based approach we strive to improve kids’ logic, ideation and creative thinking skills while preparing them for a successful future.”
“Will has done an amazing job already with the existing school in Pleasanton,” added theCoderSchool founder, Hansel Lynn. “We’re confident he will achieve the same level of success in Irvine and maintain theCoderSchool’s mission of providing a fun, engaging environment while establishing a strong relationship between kids, programming and tech.”
theCoderSchool is also a proud founding member of the International Alliance of Youth Coding Educators. The IAYCE is an alliance of global partners whose goal is to further coding education for youth around the world.
