Salata To Bring Fresh, Healthy Meals To Westlake Marketplace

Next Generation Salad Bar set for Aug. 25 grand opening

August 25, 2017 // Franchising.com // HOUSTON - Salata - the popular salad bar known for its healthy, fresh and simple menu - will open its second location in northeast Houston on Friday, Aug. 25.

Located at 14237 East Sam Houston Parkway N., Ste. 250, the new restaurant will kick off its grand opening festivities at 10 a.m. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce. A DJ will be spinning live music on-site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to pump up the opening day crowd.

Houston’s newest Salata will open to the public at 10:30 a.m. and the first 50 dine-in guests will eat for free. All of Friday’s guests will also have a chance to win prizes and swag items, and one lucky guest will win free Salata for a year!

“The Westlake Marketplace is such a vibrant area, with great people, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to start serving our healthy, quality food,” said Karim Haji, Salata franchisee. “I invite everyone to come check out our beautiful new restaurant on Friday. There will be live music, fun prizes and, of course, delicious food. Along with serving our fresh, tossed-to-order salads and salad wraps, we are also looking forward to continuing to support the local schools, organizations and businesses in this great community.”

As part of Salata’s community support efforts, the new restaurant will donate 25 percent of its proceeds from grand opening day to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Explorers Program. The program supports individuals between the ages of 14 and 21 who are interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement.

“We are honored to support the Explorers Program,” said Haji. “We need more great initiatives like this, on a local and national level, and we’re proud to do our part to raise money and awareness during our grand opening celebrations.”

Salata is the only salad concept that is gluten-free certified and completely customizable, serving salads and salad wraps made from a wide selection of fresh, nutrient-rich ingredients. The vegetables and fruits are chopped daily and the protein selection is fresh and lean. All of the dressings, soups and sauces are house-made and gluten-free. More than 50 fresh toppings and 10 house-made dressings are always available to create your perfect salad or salad wrap.

The new Salata will be open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. When the restaurant opens on Friday, it will be the 35th Salata in Houston, the 60th in Texas and the 68th nationwide. For more information, please visit salata.com.
