BoConcept Opens Highly Anticipated New Flagship U.S. Store in Manhattan

Prime Location on New York City’s Famed Madison Avenue Continues Aggressive U.S. Expansion for Iconic Global Furniture Franchise

BAYONNE, N.J. (PRWEB) December 06, 2017 - BoConcept, the Danish-founded global retail furniture franchise with nearly 300 locations across 60 countries, will cement its status at the forefront of modern furniture design with the opening of its new global flagship location in Manhattan on December 11, 2017. The new location at 160 Madison Avenue sits in the heart of Midtown Manhattan’s world-famous design district and will feature BoConcept’s differentiated designs for both home and office, including elements from world-renowned designers like Oki Sato, Henrik Pedersen and Karim Rashid.

The new location will also host a grand opening celebration on January 18 featuring top BoConcept leadership from around the world and an appearance by Karim, who will speak about the inspirations behind his designs and showcase his groundbreaking work for the brand.

The new flagship also continues the brand’s aggressive push for new market share across the U.S. BoConcept has innovated in the global Scandinavian furniture revolution since its founding in 1952 and the brand’s arrival on the world stage of fashion and design in Manhattan further builds on dominance created in markets across Europe and Asia, opening the door for new multi-unit franchise partnerships in the competitive U.S. market.

“This new flagship location on Madison Avenue officially puts BoConcept at the pinnacle of progressive, urban furniture design on the world stage,” said Steen Knigge, Director of U.S. Marketing for BoConcept. “This store is in a prominent position to not only introduce the Danish design concept of home comfort and coziness known as ‘hygge’ to many more people from around the world but, more importantly, to reinforce BoConcept’s global commitment to creating modern design elements that elevate interior spaces to achieve their true potential.”

The new Madison Avenue location follows the launch of a successful “popup” store in late summer in New York City’s trendy SoHo neighborhood that helped build added anticipation about the Midtown Manhattan opening. It will feature more of the popular designs showcased in the SoHo popup store and will include contemporary, flexible furniture options for both home and office. Elements from world-renowned designers will be featured even more prominently in the new location on Madison Avenue, presenting a fresh new, modern, yet functional option for the urban-minded homeowner.

The Madison Avenue location will be managed by Ben Paciello, a veteran furniture retail manager who has worked with brands like Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Armani and Oprah Winfrey’s “The Oprah Store” who also served as General Manager of the SoHo popup location.

“Ben’s experience perfectly complements BoConcept’s 65-year history of progressive design that will be showcased in the new Madison Avenue store,” Knigge said. “We remain focused on using that experience to advance our mission to become the uncontested leader in progressive interior design across the U.S. through the creation of statement pieces that collectively customize design potential in a home.”

Through its franchise business model, BoConcept continues to further set itself apart in the industry. From store opening to design planning, visual merchandising and local marketing, franchisees have a true corporate partner. Franchisees also receive access to BoConcept University, an online education program designed to ensure rapid operational success. The brand remains focused on partnering with driven, entrepreneurial-minded franchisees who are interested in sustainable multi-unit growth and is targeting sophisticated retail operators in additional key markets including Chicago, Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Diego, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Nashville and Denver.

“BoConcept’s innovations represent a seismic shift in interior design potential and we are so excited to showcase that groundbreaking work in the heart of Manhattan,” said BoConcept USA CEO Henrik Eriksen. “This is a moment to celebrate together with our franchise partners as we continue to advance our standing as the global leader in modern furniture.”
