Wayback Burgers Launches Newest Location in Khartoum, Sudan

Area Developer Mansour Omer Mansour Manna Brings America’s Favorite Hometown Burger Joint to the Republic of Sudan

January 25, 2018 // Franchising.com // Khartoum , Sudan - Wayback Burgers, America’s favorite hometown burger joint and one of the nation’s fastest growing burger franchises, opened its newest store in Khartoum, Sudan on December 31, 2017. This is Wayback Burgers’ first location in Sudan and is located in the Khartoum Green Yard on Africa Street.

The newest Wayback Burgers restaurant is owned by Mansour Omer Mansour Manna. Mansour Manna is a graduate from Nile Valley University with a degree in computer science. He has spent the last 9 years working in Moi UAE as a public relations manager for a contract maintenance company.

Mansour Manna purchased the rights to develop 7 restaurants in the Republic of Sudan. He says he is very excited to bring the first American restaurant to Sudan.

“My fellow Sudanese people are in for a treat,” said Mansour Manna. “I know that they will love the taste of the fresh burgers that Wayback Burgers has to offer. We are also keeping prices competitive so everyone can come try our food!”

Mansour Manna says Wayback Burgers was the perfect fit for his first entrepreneurial journey because he loves Wayback’s products and the systems the brand has in place to run a successful restaurant in international markets.

Abdulrahman Alieedan, Vice Chairman of Topaz MENA, who is the Wayback Burgers master franchisee for the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, says he is also proud to bring the first American brand to Sudan. “We have been working hard and are very happy with the growth of our new restaurants in the MENA region with locations in Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and our next one opening next month in Kuwait.”

“The Sudanese population is new to the fast-casual concept,” said Yasser Ibrahim, CEO of Topaz MENA. “However, I am confident they’ll love it. After spending years evaluating opportunities in Sudan and the last three weeks training Mansour Manna and his team members, I am thrilled about what we can accomplish in the country. Mansour Manna and his team are ready to provide excellent customer service and introduce Wayback Burgers’ phenomenal products to the Sudanese people.”

Wayback Burgers Director of International Development, Jason Murawski, is excited about the growth in the MENA region. Yasser Ibrahim and his team are working hard to open new restaurants through selling area developer agreements in areas throughout MENA.

“We are excited to work with Mansour Manna and Yasser Ibrahim in Sudan, and hopefully other regions in the Middle East and North Africa” said Murawski. “But first, we look forward to helping Mansour Manna establish a reputation of success in Sudan. With Mansour’s background in public relations and customer service, we know he has what it takes to run a Wayback Burgers location. Plus, Mansour Manna is very committed to bring the best food and deliver excellent experiences to the locals of Sudan.”
