Main Squeeze Juice Co. Sets Sights on South Alabama
Juice and smoothie bar concept looks to open as many as eight stores throughout region.
February 13, 2018 // Franchising.com // NEW ORLEANS, La. - With one store open in Lake Charles, LA, and more than ten additional locations slated to open this year throughout Louisiana and Texas, Main Squeeze Juice Co. - a newcomer to the more than $5 billion juice market - has turned its attention to other parts of the region for expansion, including South Alabama.
While there are no set locations at this point, Main Squeeze co-founder and CEO Thomas Nieto has plans for as many as six stores throughout the region. Nieto believes there are several markets in South Alabama that would be ideal for Main Squeeze locations, including Mobile, Fairhope, Daphne and Gulf Shores.
According to Nieto, Main Squeeze’s South Alabama development schedule is as follows:
- Mobile - Two stores
- Daphne - One store
- Fairhope - One store
- Gulf Shores - One store
- Foley - One Store
“We’re incredibly proud of the loyal following we’ve garnered in Lake Charles since opening our first location, and we can’t wait to see the same level of acclaim as we enter Alabama,” said Nieto. “We have no doubt that Alabamians will embrace the highly visual, delicious Main Squeeze product and experience.”
Main Squeeze Juice Co. is the brainchild of four serial entrepreneurs, all under the age of 32: Thomas Nieto, Nick Fontenot, Carl Comeaux and Michael Canseco. The concept was born in Lake Charles when they realized it was time to take their own passion for healthy snacking and meal-replacement to the next level.
Main Squeeze’s mission is to make healthy easier, and the company’s nutritionist-designed, superfood-centric menu does exactly that. Its gluten-free and vegan menu offers a daily source of plant-based nutrition packed with natural and quick energy. The concept’s proprietary recipes feature chef-inspired cold-pressed juices and superfood smoothies, along with one-, two- and three-day juice cleanse programs, wellness shots, and acai bowls created from organic and wild-harvested acai berries from the Amazon rainforest in Northeast Brazil.
“It’s unfortunate, but we are living increasingly in a world full of unhealthy processed and ‘dead’ foods. We want to provide a solution to this - we’re dedicated to serving the highest quality, raw and unpasteurized juice and superfood smoothies,” added Nieto. “Every juice and smoothie we serve is packed with the maximum level of vitamins, enzymes, minerals and nutrients possible. At Main Squeeze, we pride ourselves on combining the timeless simplicity of fruits and vegetables in a nourishing and refreshing way, reviving the idea of ‘food as medicine’ through our unique menu.”
To augment the company’s growth, Main Squeeze Juice Co. is seeking franchise partners who have a passion for clean, healthy eating and living. Including a one-time franchise fee of $35,000, the estimated initial investment required to open a 1,300 - 1,800 square-foot Main Squeeze Juice Co. store ranges from $184,700 to $490,600, which depends on several factors. A typical location will seat 15-25 people and will retain approximately 5-10 employees.
