Executive Care Inks Deal to Bring Quality Home Care to Virginia

Home health care company serves seniors, disabled and recovering individuals

February 20, 2018 // Franchising.com // HACKENSACK, N.J. – With an aging population that requires help with daily activities or with managing health, in-home care has become a popular solution. Looking to help manage the rising demand for such services, Executive Care, one of the nation’s leading providers of skilled home health care, has signed a development deal to bring their quality care to Virginia, with the first location slated to open early 2018.

The development deal marks the first Executive Care location in Virginia and is signed with Tim Hayes. The location will service the Richmond area.

“I’ve always had an entrepreneurial bug. At this point in my career, I am being drawn closer to business ownership and the home healthcare sector,” said Hayes. “At some point in our lives, we all have to deal with home healthcare, illness and potentially the death of a loved one. I am fortunate to have this opportunity to be there and care for the patients and families who are going through difficult times.”

Prior to signing a deal with Executive Care, Hayes worked in logistics and supply chain management for nearly 20 years, focusing on people management and operational aspects of the business. A Richmond, Virginia resident of nearly 20 years, Hayes is excited to combine his experience and passion in his new business.

Founded in 2004 and franchising since 2012, Executive Care provides a full range of medical and non-medical home care services for individuals and families to help them remain independent and stay in their home. Services range from companionship and help with meal preparation and household chores to help with bathing, personal hygiene and personal care. Executive Care also serves individuals recovering from illness, injury or surgery.

To guarantee the highest quality, Executive Care requires all prospective caregivers to undergo an intensive pre-employment screening process, including a criminal background investigation, verification of references and an employment history check. All caregivers are insured, experienced and undergo skills tests and continuing education training. Registered nurses closely supervise and monitor all staff, conducting periodic evaluation assessments.

“Our mission is to provide compassionate, quality home care services to our clients so that they can remain safe and independent in the comfort of their own home, amidst their personal treasures and familiar surroundings,” said Lenny Verkhoglaz, co-founder and CEO of Executive Care. “As we continuously strive to be the provider of choice for exceptional in-home care services in all the communities we serve, we look forward to bringing those same services to Virginia.”

Today, there are 22 Executive Care offices open and operating in 11 states with several additional locations in various stages of development throughout the country.

To further augment the company’s growth, Leonard estimates that Virginia can hold eight to ten additional offices, and company plans call for one to two of those locations to open by the end of 2018. Executive Care is seeking franchise partners who have a passion for health and helping others to open additional offices.

Including a franchise fee (for a territory with a population of 500,000 residents) of $44,900, initial investment to own and operate an Executive Care office ranges between $99,650 and $169,900. The franchise fee for a second territory is reduced to $35,900 and $29,500 for a third territory.
