Six Budget Blinds, Tailored Living and Concrete Craft franchisees honored for extraordinary service to their local communities

April 04, 2018 // Franchising.com // ORANGE, Calif. - Home Franchise Concepts (HFC), the parent of the Budget Blinds®, Tailored Living® and Concrete Craft® brands, has presented its inaugural Heart & Home Awards for 2018.

The inaugural awards recognize Budget Blinds, Tailored Living and Concrete Craft franchisees in the U.S. and Canada who best embody HFC’s core values of caring and giving back in local communities. The 2018 winners are:

  • Priscilla Glidewell of Stayton, Ore. (Budget Blinds)
  • James and Elaine Trotter of Tampa, Fla. (Budget Blinds)
  • Tammy Conner of Terra Haute, Ind. (Budget Blinds)
  • Todd and Juliana Carter of Herndon, Va. (Tailored Living)
  • Mark Flood of Oakville, Ontario, Canada (Tailored Living)
  • Chuck Yates of Knoxville, Tenn. (Concrete Craft)

Presented by HFC CEO Shirin Behzadi at Budget Blinds, Tailored Living and Concrete conventions earlier this year, the inaugural 2018 Heart & Home Awards are an extension of “Heart & Home,” a long-term commitment by HFC to caring and giving-back to transform the lives of individuals through ongoing national partnerships and local, community efforts.

“At Budget Blinds, Tailored Living and Concrete Craft, we offer products and expertise that make a house a home - so caring and giving back have always been part of our DNA,” said Behzadi. “The extraordinary work of our franchisees allows us to make good on our promise to create communities that are vibrant and full of hope. Our 2018 Heart & Home winners prove it every day: one person can make a difference in their community and in the world. There really is no place like HFC.”

An extension of an ongoing commitment by HFC and HFC franchisees to giving back, HFC’s “Heart & Home” pursuits in 2017 included awarding a franchise business worth more than $300,000 to a U.S. veteran; partnering with Working Wardrobes to provide job training, placement and wardrobe services to give those in need the chance to take their place in the workforce; and organizing food and clothing drives for various organizations.

For 2018, HFC has renewed its “Heart & Home” alliance with existing partners Working Wardrobes, Home for our Troops and Wounded Warriors Canada to help even more veterans and others in need realize their dreams of work, career advancement, home ownership and transition after military service.
