Elements Massage® Announces New Business Unit and Acquisition of Corporate-Owned Studios

Elements Massage will now include corporate-owned studios in its portfolio as part of the brand’s high-trajectory growth plan.

April 23, 2018 // Franchising.com // Englewood, CO - WellBiz Brands, Inc. – the manager of health and wellness brands Elements Massage®, Fitness Together® and FIT36® - has formally established a separate business unit, Elements Corporate Ventures, to purchase, operate and build corporate Elements Massage studios. Under this new business unit Elements Massage has purchased five metro-Denver studios.

Adam Passarelli, who has served as the vice president of marketing at Elements Massage since 2016, will now serve as the vice president of corporate operations for Elements Corporate Ventures. He will oversee the overall operations of the corporate-owned studios.

“Corporate-owned studios have great benefits for franchise owners and franchisors alike,” said Jeremy Morgan, CEO of Elements Massage. “By operating corporate-owned Elements studios, we can provide more opportunities to test new ideas related to marketing, research and development, and training before rolling them out system wide. This creates great advantages to our franchise owner network and will allow them to improve service and grow profitability more rapidly.”

WellBiz Brands has positioned each of its brands for significant growth. High profile executives Joe Luongo, executive chairman and Matthew Stanton, chief development officer of WellBiz Brands, have joined the team since Q4. Luongo has 25 years of experience in the franchise industry, most recently serving as a fitness and wellness industry consultant, chief operating officer for Massage Envy, as well as held leadership roles with Pizza Hut, Peter Piper Pizza, FedEx Kinko’s, and Starbucks. Stanton joined the team earlier this year. He is an experienced multi-unit brand executive having served as the vice president of real estate and franchise development for Taco Bueno Restaurants. Prior to that, Stanton was the vice president of strategy and development for Smashburger where he oversaw the brand’s unit growth strategy.

Elements Massage, one of the fastest-growing therapeutic massage franchises in the nation, continues to invest in the growth of the brand with the recent appointment of its first-ever chief wellness officer, Eric Stephenson, to lead the industry. Elements Massage is the first national massage franchise brand to create this role, a position focused on implementing culture and education programs for massage therapists and the brand.

The industry is taking note too. Elements Massage was recently recognized as part of Entrepreneur’s 2018 Franchise 500 Ranking. This recognition is a testament to the brand’s growing popularity in the overall health and wellness space. For more information, visit elementsmassage.com.
