Your new travel guides…Vista Star Maps, LLC Launches Discovery Map of El Paso

The map is owned by El Paso resident Aidan Gordon and will publish later in 2018.

Additionally, Gordon will be joined in the business by her brother Patrick Gordon and mother Laura Gordon.

“I had been in school in Arizona and was looking to return home to El Paso and make a career change. My family and I have vacationed in Breckenridge, Colorado for years and have loved the Discovery Maps there and thought, ‘why not El Paso?’” said Aidan Gordon. “After talking it over with my family, we decided to go forward and buy a Discovery Map franchise for El Paso as a complementary business to my brother’s real estate business. I’m taking the lead in the business but the three of us are running it as partners.”

Discovery Maps are colorful, hand-drawn maps that have become a favorite of travelers for navigating local dining, attractions, businesses, cultural experiences and tourist destinations. Discovery Map of El Paso will include sites and destinations from El Paso and neighboring areas like Southwest University Park - home of the El Paso Chihuahuas - Top Golf and the hiking trails of Tom Mays Park.

Discovery Maps are typically found on display in local stores, restaurants, hotels and tourist attractions. In addition to the printed map, DiscoveryMap.com offers a unique integrated digital presence that links the printed map to a web application available in a mobile or PC application. The interactive map found at Discoverymap.com is to scale and thus can be used for turn-by-turn directions as well as to access detailed information about areas of interest, places to eat, lodging and other noteworthy sites including and beyond the printed map area.

“El Paso does not really have a map available for tourists and none really compare to the Discovery Map. It really is unique in terms of the beautiful art work on the hard copy map. When you couple that with the app and online presence, Discovery Map covers all the bases,” said Aidan Gordon.
