BIGGBY® COFFEE is Opening a Brand New Location in Alpena, MI!

May 09, 2018 // Franchising.com // Alpena, MI - BIGGBY® COFFEE is excited to announce the Grand Opening of a new store in Alpena, MI on Tuesday, May, 8 2018! This brand new store is located at the corner of State and Chisholm, across from Save-A-Lot (224 East Chisholm Street Alpena, MI 49707). This will be the first BIGGBY® location for owner/operator Jeff Konczak and the third for his business partner Nick Spadafore! Jeff and Nick, along with their manager Alisha, are ready to serve the Alpena community the world’s best coffee and get to know their neighbors even better. “Alpena is an amazing town that is filled with amazing people,” said Nick. “We wanted to bring in a brand that had the same philosophy and mindset that the people of this town have. We thought BIGGBY® was a perfect match,” he continued.

Jeff and Nick will be helping to get this new location off the ground, but the day-to-day operations will be handled by their manager, Alisha. “We are most excited about getting to know the people of Alpena even better,” said Alisha. “They have been so welcoming and we can’t wait to share even more of the BIGGBY® brand with them!” Alisha is new to the BIGGBY® family and has been working hard with the new team of baristas to get ready for the grand opening. “We would also like to recognize the staff and the hard work they have put in over the past couple of weeks in preparation of the store’s opening,” added Jeff. “They’re just as excited as we are to Share Great Coffee and to grow the BIGGBY® brand in the area!”

Nick, who is the BIGGBY® veteran of the group, has spent a lot of time giving back at his other locations, and is looking forward to continuing to give back in Alpena. “We have been involved with school functions, provided the coffee at concession stands, and also donated coffee to charity events,” said Nick. “We have done fundraisers to help raise money for school trips and so far in Alpena, we have given samples of the product and provided coffee at the Firework Fundraiser earlier this year! We can’t wait to get involved with local organizations, sports teams, and the school.”

They will be open Monday through Saturday 6:00 am to 9:00 pm and Sunday 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. If you’re new to BIGGBY®, Nick recommends a Caramel Marvel Latte. “But if you’re not a coffee drinker, try the Banana Bread Creme Freeze!”
