Mr. Gatti’s Pizza to Open in Tyler

Iconic family-friendly buffet and entertainment center expands to East Texas

May 16, 2018 // Franchising.com // FORT WORTH, Texas - Mr. Gatti’s Pizza is continuing to expand in its home state of Texas with the announcement of a new Mr. Gatti’s in Tyler, Texas. The iconic family-friendly restaurant will be located in the French Quarter Shopping Center at 4526 South Broadway and is scheduled to open in late summer.

The new Mr. Gatti’s location will serve as a center for family entertainment in Tyler. In addition to the traditional Mr. Gatti’s pizza buffet and other menu favorites, the new restaurant will feature a family entertainment center with 50-plus games. There will also be separate rooms for private events and birthday parties.

“I’m excited to bring Mr. Gatti’s to Tyler as I grew up going to Mr. Gatti’s in my hometown and now I want a safe, fun place for my own children to hang out,” said franchisee Lamar Wedell. “We will also use the restaurant to help the local community with plans to work with foster children and children with autism in the area, along with other charities and organizations here in Tyler.”

“We are thrilled to be bringing the Mr. Gatti’s experience to families in Tyler,” said Michael Poates, President of the Fort Worth-based chain. “Great food, fun games, and a welcoming atmosphere will make the restaurant a go-to spot for family fun.”

Mr. Gatti’s has been growing in recent years with a record number of corporate store openings, as well as the first franchise location in seven years which opened in Killeen, Texas this past March. Tyler will be Mr. Gatti’s second opening of the year, and part of an aggressive growth trajectory. The brand projects to open 100 new locations by 2022.
