CoreLife Eatery Continues Rapid Growth With New North Carolina Franchise Deal

New Development Agreement Will Bring Up to 23 Eateries to the Old North State

May 25, 2018 // Franchising.com // North Carolina, U.S. - CoreLife Eatery, an active lifestyle restaurant offering a variety of greens, grains and broth-based dishes, has major plans for expansion in the Old North State. A newly cemented development agreement will bring eateries to as many as 23 locations to the Charlotte and Greensboro/Winston-Salem markets.

Leading this tremendous expansion is franchisee Danny Grammenopoulos, who has an impressive resume that includes more than 25 years of experience in franchise development and the growth of franchise systems, primarily in the food service industry. Mr. Grammenopoulos has been responsible for the development of over 1,250 units in both Canada and the United States. His first CoreLife Eatery is projected to open this December in Greensboro, with at least two more locations coming in 2019.

Mr. Grammenopoulos began as a franchisee while still in college, when he immediately realized that he had found his career path. “I fell in love with helping others and getting them into a business they might not have been able to enter otherwise. I love building businesses and opening them up,” he says. Mr. Grammenopoulos is also particular about which business opportunities he pursues. “When I consider opportunities, I think about whether or not I can be proud of being associated with a company and proud of including my family in the business. When I learned about CoreLife, I thought, ‘Wow. This is something I want to be involved in.’” CoreLife’s emphasis on affordable healthy eating appealed to Mr. Grammenpoulos and to his family. His son George Grammenopoulos will serve as Vice President of Company Operations and his daughter Marilyn Grammenopoulos will join as the company’s Vice President of People & Culture.

“Danny Grammenpoulos has an impressive, longstanding record of success within the restaurant industry. During our first conversations, it quickly became apparent that he truly believes in CoreLife Eatery and its mission,” Steve Corp, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development for CoreLife Eatery, said. “We’re thrilled to have Mr. Grammenopoulos, and George and Marilyn, helping us build one of the best and most promising brands in the country, and we’re confident they will do a fantastic job representing and developing CoreLife Eatery in the State of North Carolina.”

This development agreement comes in addition to CoreLife Eatery’s recently secured agreement with the Bullard Restaurant Group, which will bring up to 14 stores in the Wilmington and Raleigh markets.

CoreLife Eatery offers a wide variety of fresh ingredients that are transformed into custom-created dishes. All foods are free of trans fats, artificial colors, sweeteners, other artificial additives and GMO’s. The chicken and steak used are sustainably raised and never given antibiotics or hormones, and the bone broth is slow simmered all day for maximum taste and nutrition. Creating a menu that tastes great because it’s healthy is the secret to CoreLife Eatery’s success.

Led by CEO Larry Wilson, the CoreLife Eatery executive team brings individual successes and skill sets to help the restaurant grow to meet the needs of more communities lacking convenient access to healthy and affordable eating alternatives. CoreLife Eatery plans to expand to 300 locations, including both corporate and franchise restaurants, nationwide over the next five years. For more information, please visit www.corelifeeatery.com.
