Award-Winning Cafe To Open Second Charlotte Restaurant

First Watch Will Open In The Providence Farms Center Just North Of The Waverly Whole Foods

July 13, 2018 // Franchising.com // CHARLOTTE, North Carolina - First Watch, the popular breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant with five locations in North Carolina, announced that it will open its second Charlotte-area restaurant on Monday, July 16. The new 3,300-square-foot eatery will open at 7 a.m. at 6311 Providence Farm Lane, and it will employ about 25 people. This opening will be the second First Watch opening by franchise group Good Morning Carolina’s, LLC.

In conjunction with the First Watch opening, Good Morning Carolinas, LLC will donate all money raised from a pre-opening event to charity. Proceeds from the event at the company’s new Charlotte restaurant will be donated to Matthews HELP Center, which provides short-term assistance to residents in financial crisis in south Charlotte.

Manik Suri, an owner and operator of Good Morning Carolinas, LLC, moved to Charlotte in 2017 to facilitate the growth and operation of the 12 First Watch restaurants scheduled to open throughout Charlotte and Greenville, North Carolina, as well as Spartanburg and Columbia, South Carolina.

“The new Providence Farms community provides a unique combination of brand new retail and restaurant experiences, alongside residential growth that we feel is a perfect fit for the First Watch concept,” said Suri. “We look forward to continuing our growth in Charlotte and maintaining lasting relationships with our friends and neighbors here.”

First Watch’s curated menu takes an elevated approach to traditional and innovative offerings made to order using farm fresh ingredients. It includes crave-able items such as Avocado Toast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. The new restaurant offers healthy, flavorful favorites like house-made granola and pico de gallo, organic greens, house-roasted vegetables and cage-free eggs as well as more indulgent, traditional breakfast, brunch and lunch offerings.

The new First Watch in will also serve the restaurant’s new Project Sunrise coffee, grown by an independent group of female farmers in Huila, Colombia called Mujeres en Café. The restaurant will also offer options from its Juice Bar - including the best-selling Kale Tonic - juiced in-house daily using only the highest quality fruits and vegetables.

Houston Pizza Venture, the parent company of Good Morning Carolinas, LLC currently owns and operates 110 Papa John’s restaurants in Houston, Phoenix, Oklahoma City and Albuquerque.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers customers complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
