LeafSpring Schools Named a Top Global Franchise, Awarded AdvancED Corporation Accreditation

Two honors recognize LeafSpring Schools as innovators and leaders in both the early education and franchising industries.

July 24, 2018 // Franchising.com // LeafSpring Schools, a Richmond-VA based early education childcare franchise, recently received two accolades: Named to Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top Global Franchise list and awarded AdvancED Corporation Accreditation from the AdvancED Accreditation Commission.

Entrepreneur’s top global franchise list recognizes the top 200 franchisors seeking franchisees outside of the U.S., based on data submitted for Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500® ranking. LeafSpring Schools was ranked #122 on this list, as it has six franchise and two corporate-owned schools in China. It is the only early education and childcare company named to the 2018 global franchise list.

Franchise companies are increasingly looking to expand overseas, and are finding intelligent and innovative ways to translate their brands for new audiences,” says Entrepreneur’s editor in chief, Jason Feifer. “Our Top Global Franchises list highlights the companies that are doing it best."

AdvancED Corporation Accreditation gives LeafSpring School recognition across the U.S. as a quality education corporation. The corporation works with its corporate-owned or franchised schools to achieve school-level accreditation. Currently, ten LeafSpring Schools have an Early Learning Accreditation from the AdvancED Accreditation Commission, and the two newest domestic schools are candidates for accreditation.

The accreditation process involves three ongoing components: 1) meeting high quality standards; 2) implementing a continuous process of improvement; and 3) engaging in quality assurance through internal and external review. The corporation’s accreditation is for a five-year term with regular monitoring of progress and reporting occurring during the term.

“Corporation accreditation demonstrates to our parents, students and education partners our commitment to excellence, our openness to external review and feedback and our desire to be the best we can be on behalf of the students we serve,” shared LeafSpring Schools chief executive officer, Vance Spilman.

Dr. Mark Elgart, President/CEO of AdvancED, stated, “Corporation Accreditation is a quality process that focuses the corporate-level on student success and corporation and school effectiveness. LeafSpring Schools is to be commended for engaging in this process and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.”
