National Athletic-Based Training Fitness Center Plans to Add 25 New Locations by 2023

HOUSTON - (BUSINESS WIRE) - September 20, 2018 - D1 Training, a leading fitness concept utilizing the five basic tenets of athletic-based training to help people of all ages achieve their sport and fitness goals, has announced that it will be targeting the state of Texas for growth. The brand anticipates opening at least 25 locations, through strategic franchise partnerships, over the next five years.

Currently, D1 Training has five locations open in Texas - Waco, Dallas, Tomball, Carrollton, and College Station. Kickstarting this new development push are four locations slated to open in 2019 - Aledo, Austin, Colleyville, and San Antonio. Additionally, a multi-unit franchise agreement has been signed to bring three new locations to the Houston market and another two-unit agreement has been signed for Austin.

With more than 30 training facilities currently open nationwide, Texas has proved to be a prime state for expansion, well positioned for explosive growth. Target development markets include McAllen, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, San Marcos, Austin, Round Rock, Temple, Houston, Dallas Fort-Worth, Amarillo, Midland, and El Paso.

“Expansion in Texas was a natural fit because of the pride the state takes in community and sports," stated Michael Abramson, president of D1 Training. “The demographics of Texas and the state’s reputation of competitive scholastic sports indicate plenty of room for D1 Training growth in the area.”

All D1 Training locations offer five age-based programs including Rookie (ages 7-11), Developmental (ages 12-14), Prep (ages 15-18), Boot Camp (adults), and Strength Training (adults).
