Minuteman Press International Supports Two Long Island Foundations

Sponsors of 13th Annual Fore Erika Golf Classic and 8th Annual Rose Brucia Golf Outing

October 01, 2018 // Franchising.com // FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Long Island-based franchisor Minuteman Press International recently sponsored two local golf outings to help raise funds and awareness for local families and foundations. Bob Titus, Minuteman Press International President & CEO, says, "With strong roots in Long Island, we are proud to give back and support two local causes that really make a difference in our communities."

He adds, "Fore Erika provides resources to Erika Josephson and her family, and we are honored to be able to help them keep striving towards their goals for Erika. The Rose Brucia Educational Foundation goes into our schools and teaches children how to protect and defend themselves against abduction, and it is terrific to be able to help them with their efforts."

13th Annual Fore Erika Golf Classic

On August 27th, 2018, Minuteman Press International sponsored and attended the 13th Annual Fore Erika Golf Classic that was held at the Indian Hills Country Club in Northport, NY. Each year, Fore Erika raises funds to help Erika Josephson and her family with the enormous medical costs based on Erika's rare condition (CHARGE). In addition to this syndrome, Erika suffered cardiac arrest and brain injury at the age of 1 which has left her with many medical and physical challenges. Despite all of this including being legally blind and deaf and enduring 57 surgeries, Erika is now 23 years-old and continues to be an inspiration to everyone who knows her.

"Our community is amazing.  We could not do it without the support of such great friends – emotionally, physically, and financially," says Cathie Josephson. She continues, "We have been through so much with Erika, and could not imagine how we could get through each day without the love, respect and encouragement our 'family' provides us." 8th Annual Rose Brucia Golf Outing

On August 13th, 2018, Minuteman Press International sponsored and attended the 8th Annual Rose Brucia Golf Outing that was held at The Hamlet Golf & Country Club in Commack, NY. The Rose Brucia Educational Foundation aims to reduce the number of child abductions in the U.S. through education and empowerment of young minds. This includes the Stranger Safety Awareness Program which provides children with the tools necessary to deal with possibly dangerous encounters with strangers and has been implemented in schools free of charge. The Stranger Safety Awareness Program was inspired, created and developed by a team of award-winning educators. Utilizing a multi-media platform, the program is dynamic, informative and fun for the students.

“We are so grateful to our sponsors who provide us with the funding we need to keep producing our free educational program,” says Matthew J. Barbis, Founder & Chairman of The Rose Brucia Educational Foundation. “Minuteman Press has been a loyal supporter of our cause from day one and we thank them for their loyalty and dedication.” For more information, visit www.rosebrucia.org.
