“As an organization, Krystal is embedded in the communities we serve. We want to make a positive impact that improves the quality of life for future generations,” said Paul Macaluso, The Krystal Foundation president and Krystal’s president and CEO. “The Foundation is Krystal’s legacy, and Atlanta is our home.”

Grant award winners include Compton Elementary School, where teachers plan to buy a Captain Planet Cooking Station to integrate math, science and social studies into hands-on cooking adventures in the classroom. Students at Ash Academy Christian Preparatory School will purchase supplementary supplies to teach robotics and coding. Educators at Alcova Elementary want to involve students in 3D printing, while Chattahochee High School plans to equip a math classroom to better serve its special education population.
