Retired Non-Profit Executive Aims to Make a Difference in a New Way with Her New Business - Fresh Coat Painters of Burlington-Camden

Fresh Coat Painters of Burlington-Camden serves Marlton, Evesham Township, Medford, Voorhees, Berlin, Lumberton and all points in between.

BURLINGTON, N.J. (PRWEB) December 05, 2018 - After more than 25 years serving the community in the non-profit sector, entrepreneur Val Traore is excited to transition her skills to a new kind of service as the local owner and operator of Fresh Coat Painters of Burlington-Camden.

Fresh Coat Painters offers residential and commercial painting services including interior or exterior painting, deck sealing and staining, pressure washing, popcorn ceiling and wall paper removal and other services for nearly every protective coating application. Fresh Coat Painters of Burlington-Camden has a 24/7 receptionist, online scheduling and free detailed quotes, and they only use high-quality materials. Fresh Coat Painters of Burlington-Camden serves Marlton, Evesham Township, Medford, Voorhees, Berlin, Lumberton and all points in between.

“When I retired from my most recent non-profit role the president and CEO of the Food Bank of South Jersey, I had three goals - I wanted to travel, do meaningful work locally and own a profitable business so I would have the means to give back to those in need. Painting is a service everyone needs at some point and it’s the least expensive way to make the biggest impact on a space. I’m excited that, by opening Fresh Coat Painters of Burlington-Camden, I’ll be able to continue to be a part of this community in a way that enables me to give back, especially through Fresh Coat’s philanthropic program - Fresh Coat Cares,” Traore said.

Fresh Coat Cares is Fresh Coat Painters’ program that encourages local franchisees to give back in their own communities through service projects. Projects in other communities have ranged from painting the resting area at a local hospital to painting an entire non-profit early learning center.

In addition to the Fresh Coat Cares program, Traore was drawn to Fresh Coat because of the company’s nation-wide commitment to customer service. Fresh Coat offers a 3-3-3 customer service pledge, which means calls will be answered by a live person within three rings, a quote will be delivered within three days (customer schedule permitting) and the job will be started within three weeks. Fresh Coat Painters has a national product partnership with Sherwin-Williams®, so products are guaranteed to be high quality.

“We believe in the 3-3-3 guarantee because we believe in the power of customer service. I’ve had painting projects go wrong and it’s frustrating. I knew there had to be a painting company out there that promised high-quality workmanship, professional painters and quality products at a clear, fair, firm price. That’s what we do here at Fresh Coat. It’s a completely different experience than what people have come to expect from the painting industry,” Traore said. “Our painters are our employees - not subcontractors or day laborers - and they are trained, vetted, background-checked, uniformed and professional. You can depend on us for quality, integrity and professionalism and we are licensed, bonded and insured.”

Before Fresh Coat, Traore retired from an extensive career in the non-profit sector, including more than 25 years in non-profit leadership working at hunger-relief organizations in Baltimore, Chicago and New York. In her last role as president and CEO of the Food Bank of South Jersey, she had overall responsibility for the organization’s strategic, programmatic, financial and management operations.

Traore’s non-profit work has been profiled in leading print, television and radio broadcast such as Black Enterprise, Philadelphia Business Journal, Courier Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, ABC and NBC TV to name a few. She's received several awards for her work that includes 2018 Nonprofit Executive of the Year, 2018 New Jersey 50 Most Influential Women in Business, 2017 Lifetime Legacy Award at SJ Magazine’s Women of Excellence, 2016 Outstanding Fundraising Professional by the Southern New Jersey Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, 2014 Mutual of America Hometown Hero, 2014 SJ Business Journal: Person of the Month, 2012 Camden County Woman of the Month, 2012 South Jersey Super Women: 40 Women Making a Difference, 2012 Brava Woman of the Year, 2011 National Association of Women Business Owners Heroine of the Year and 2011 Philadelphia Business Journal Minority Business Leader of the Year.

Traore is married to Brehima Traore and has one son Dean and an adorable “has not grown out of puppyhood yet” five-year-old Cavapoo named Tonkaboy
