Potbelly Soars To New Heights On Entrepreneur Magazine’s 40th Annual Franchise 500® List
Sandwich Franchise Ranked # 71 on the Franchise 500 List in the Quick Service Restaurant Section
January 22, 2019 // Franchising.com // CHICAGO - Potbelly Sandwich Shop announced today that it has been named to Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500® list, considered the world’s first, best and most comprehensive franchise ranking. Potbelly has been rated number #71 in the Quick Service Restaurant section in the “Sandwich” category and in the top 20 percentile overall.
The prestigious award validates the progress the company has made in the past year. In 2018, the brand added more than eight new franchise locations, bringing the total to more than 400 shops throughout the United States.

All franchises are given a cumulative score based on more than 150 data points, and the 500 franchises with the highest cumulative scores become the Franchise 500® in ranking order.

Potbelly expects to open 10 new locations by the end of 2019 throughout the Midwest, Southeast and areas adjacent to existing markets.
