Café Yumm! Expands into Idaho with New Restaurant Opening in Eagle

Local franchisee brings nourishing comfort food to the Boise area with her first of three planned units.

January 24, 2019 // Franchising.com // Eagle, ID - Café Yumm!, a wildly popular restaurant franchise throughout Oregon and Washington, will open its first location in Idaho on January 29, 2019. The highly anticipated opening in the Bridges at Lakemoor shopping center in Eagle marks the restaurant’s entry into a new state. This will be the first of three Café Yumm! units planned for development in the greater Boise area.

The new restaurant will be open daily for lunch and dinner with dine-in, drive-thru, and take-out options. Café Yumm! offers a menu famous for customizable Yumm! Bowls® layered with organic beans and rice, a signature Yumm! Sauce®, and deluxe toppings. Made to order with sustainably sourced ingredients, the restaurant also serves all-natural chicken and turkey, soups, salads, and wraps with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options available. The Lakemoor location will test a new kid’s menu for the system, and a catering menu will become available later this year.

Multi-unit franchisee Rebecca Blewett looks forward to bringing the restaurant concept to Idaho. Her passion for healthful, satisfying food, along with an extensive background in business operations, inspired her to introduce this popular dining experience to the Boise area. “While living in Oregon, I was a busy single mom. Café Yumm! became an important part of my family’s regular routine. The amazing Yumm! Sauce, friendly service, and convenience made taking my kids out for a nutritious meal fun and easy. We all craved it! When I moved to Idaho, I knew the community would love Café Yumm! too, and I’m thrilled to bring the restaurant to Eagle,” says Blewett.

With a focus on serving nourishing food in a casual atmosphere, Café Yumm! is popular among guests with active lifestyles and families looking for wholesome options served fast. The new restaurant in Eagle was built with sustainable materials and features cozy booths, outdoor seating with a fire pit, floor-to-ceiling windows facing a scenic pond and waterfalls, and a variety of live indoor plants to complement the warm décor.

Founded in Eugene, Oregon in 1997, Café Yumm! is a restaurant system, franchisor, and fine foods distributer. The restaurant had two locations when franchising began in 2007. Twenty units have opened in the past 11 years, both franchised and company-owned. Café Yumm! operated restaurants exclusively in Oregon until late 2013 when a franchised location opened in downtown Seattle and two more opened in Vancouver, Washington. With the opening at Lakemoor, there are now 23 Café Yumm! restaurants in three states.

Mark Beauchamp, president and co-founder of Café Yumm!, is happy to welcome the new Eagle location as the 23rd restaurant in the system. “When we opened our first restaurant in 1997, the hope was to someday bring Café Yumm! to other cities around the country. The new Café Yumm! restaurant in Eagle will begin serving dine-in and take-out guests on January 29. A ribbon cutting ceremony with the Eagle Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for mid-February.
