Young Entrepreneur Finds Passion in Deka Lash Brand

Employee Works Hard to Earn Business Ownership

CANONSBURG, Pa. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - January 30, 2019 - Proving that dreams can come true with hard work and determination, Nicolette Ventura has set her sights on building a business and an empire.

Nicolette Ventura has always loved beauty, from the time she was a little girl coloring her Barbie doll’s hair to the make-shift salon at her home where she would put in hair extensions, do manicures and, with a line out the door, have girlfriends come over to have homecoming and prom make-up applied. “I have always loved making someone feel beautiful and confident,” says Nicolette.

Born into a strong Italian family, she was raised to be passionate about the things she loved and work hard for them. “I have had a strong work ethic since I was very young and have always been motivated.” Having been in dance, modeling and pageants since 4 years old, Nicolette has been a go-getter. During her senior year she was 1st runner up in Ms. Pennsylvania Teen USA, then she graduated high school and knew she wanted more. She left friends and family and moved across the country to Los Angeles, where she pursued modeling and attended Aveda Institute of Los Angeles for Cosmetology. In her studies she found what she enjoyed and did not like in the beauty field and also found herself a bit homesick, so back to Pennsylvania she went.

Once back, she applied for a job opening for eyelash extensions, and there is where she met Deka Lash and Michael and Jennifer, founders of Deka Lash. She began her training at the Green Tree studio, and through much practice she found her passion in lash extensions. Her hard work did not go unnoticed, and she quickly rose to be manager. “I treated this studio like it was my own, and the Blairs noted my hard work and promoted me to studio manager. They were building the Deka Lash franchise concept nationwide, and I was entrusted with their studio. It was my family and it was a true joy to come to work every day.” As the franchise brand was demanding more of the Blairs’ time, they made the decision to sell some of their corporate locations. Nicolette knew this was her opportunity. “It was not an easy process, but through a lot of hard work and effort this became my studio, and I could not be more proud to be a Deka Lash franchisee and work with this great family.”

“After just a few months of working with Nicolette, I knew she was special even though she was young. And this is only the beginning for Nicolette’s entrepreneurial ventures. “My plan is to open up at least two additional studios in the future.
