TruBlue Expands Team and Hosts First National Conference

On the heels of a record year, TruBlue Total House Care’s leadership is preparing the franchise for massive growth in 2019.

February 14, 2019 // Franchising.com // CINCINNATI - After a record-setting year, the leadership at TruBlue Total House Care is preparing the franchise for massive growth by expanding the corporate team and providing professional development opportunities for franchisees at the company’s first national conference.

“TruBlue added 17 new franchises in 2018 and we’re on target to add another 30 franchises in 2019. Last year we put a lot of energy toward updating our systems and services - we launched House Care Plus, we rolled out new estimating software and we completely revamped both our national and local websites - and now we’re excited to focus on strengthening our support for franchisees by expanding our national team and hosting our first conference,” TruBlue President Greg Platz said.

TruBlue franchisees offer handyman services, maid and cleaning services, lawn care, emergency repairs, seasonal projects, a home watch program, a senior accessibility program and more. TruBlue’s House Care Plus program allows clients to create a customized, monthly home care plan. TruBlue is unique because, while the services are great for anyone, including business owners and Realtors, the franchise places a heavy focus on being able to serve seniors and help them live safely and comfortably in their homes for as long as possible.

TruBlue’s first national conference, which will be held from February 18 to 20, 2019, in Las Vegas, will focus on professional development for franchisees. The event will kick off with a keynote speech by Franchise Expert Greg Nathan, who will talk about best practices for franchisees and maximizing the franchisee/franchisor relationship, and then include sessions about topics such as customer reactivation, scaling, working with commercial properties and updates to House Care Plus. Platz will also give a State of the Franchise presentation and there will be an Awards Banquet, time for networking and individual franchisee meetings with Scorpion, TruBlue’s website vendor.

The conference will also give franchisees a chance to meet the two new members of the team - On-Boarding and Training Manager Ryan Buckles, who had been working with TruBlue part time, and Marketing Manager Ray Smith.

Buckles has 10 years of experience in franchising, all with TruBlue’s umbrella company, Strategic Franchising Systems. He started with Strategic Franchising Systems in 2011 as Caring Transitions’ Digital Marketing Manager before becoming a Franchise Business Coach for Fresh Coat Painters in 2012, during which time he worked with Platz, who was Fresh Coat’s Vice President of Operations. During Buckles’ time at Fresh Coat, the average year-over-year growth for his region was 25 percent.

“I am excited to become a full-time member of the TruBlue Operations team and to bring my years of experience as a Franchise Business Coach to the system. I look forward to working with each of the owners and getting to know their personal motivations and goals so we can work together to align those to their TruBlue business. I’m also excited to be working alongside Greg again as we grow TruBlue nationwide,” Buckles said.

Smith brings more than a dozen years of experience of marketing and sales leadership experience to TruBlue Total House Care. He has a wide range of industry experience and, most recently, he led a marketing consulting agency that specialized in helping small- to medium-sized business stand out from the competition with focused marketing strategies and campaigns to grow sales.

“Owning a TruBlue franchise provides franchisees with a fantastic opportunity to serve the community in new ways, whether by helping busy families get their weekends back, by helping older adults stay in their home longer through regular maintenance and accessibility upgrades, or through serving business clients,” Smith said. “TruBlue Total House Care is an idea whose time has come and I’m looking forward to helping franchisees provide this noble and necessary service in their local communities.”

TruBlue Total House Care, which was founded in 2011 in Cincinnati, was recently recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine and Franchise Gator. TruBlue Total House Care is part of the Strategic Franchising Systems family, which also includes, Caring Transitions, Fresh Coat Painters, The Growth Coach and Pet Wants.
