Canadian Tire Expands Triangle Rewards™ to include Sports Experts

Collect and redeem Canadian Tire Money® at more places with one of Canada's best, no fee loyalty programs

MONTREAL, April 15, 2019 /CNW/ - Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (CTC) is expanding its Triangle Rewards program by giving customers the ability to collect and redeem more electronic Canadian Tire Money (CTM) on purchases made in-store at Atmosphere in Quebec, Hockey Experts, L'Entrepôt du Hockey, Sports Rousseau and participating Sports Experts stores predominantly in Quebec, for a total of 111 new partner locations.

Triangle Rewards is one of Canada's best, no fee loyalty program that enables members to collect and redeem CTM at Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Atmosphere and participating Marks/L'Équipeur stores across Canada, and collect on fuel purchases at Canadian Tire Gas+ and participating Husky locations, in addition to the new locations announced today.

"With Triangle Rewards, we're focused on making life easier for Canadians and helping them earn rewards faster at more of their favourite places,'" said Shawn Stewart, Vice President, Loyalty & Customer Insights, CTC. "Today, we're pleased to add over 111 new locations mainly in Quebec, like Sports Experts and other sporting goods banners within the Canadian Tire family."

"We're thrilled to introduce this exciting program to reward our customers and bring them added value," said Jean Thériault, Vice President and Managing Director, Sports Experts. "We're already a destination of choice for athletic apparel and footwear as well as sports, hockey and outdoor equipment. Now our customers will have even more reason to enjoy shopping in our stores!"

Triangle credit cards are the fastest way to earn on everyday purchases, with no annual fee and 4% back at partner locations. Cardholders can also turn big purchases into small payments with equal payments on qualifying purchases paid with Triangle credit cards. For example, they can make 12 equal monthly payments when they spend over $200. "These plans make it easier for customers to purchase hockey equipment for their kids or keep active and enjoy the outdoors with items like skis, a kayak or a bicycle," added Jean Thériault.

Triangle Rewards members also benefit from personalized offers and content, as well as the ability to track transactions and CTM balances.

Triangle Rewards is the evolution of Canadian Tire's iconic loyalty program, Canadian Tire Money, which has long been considered Canada's second currency, with over $1 billion of the currency issued since its debut in 1958.
