Hyatt Regency Liberation Square Opens in the Heart of Chinese Mega-City Chongqing

Newly opened hotel connects guests to the vibrant Jiefangbei cultural and entertainment district

Located next to the landmark Liberation Monument, which was built in 1947 to commemorate war victory and cherished as the heart of the ‘Misty City,’ the hotel offers seamless, intuitive experiences where travelers and local guests alike can connect with who and what matters to them most.

Positioned at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers and surrounded by water on three sides, the Jiefangbei Central Business District is the city’s main hub for banking, tourism and entertainment and a leading commercial center of Western China. Guests of Hyatt Regency Liberation Square Chongqing, the second Hyatt Regency hotel in the city, will find themselves on the city’s liveliest doorstep, a neighborhood filled with cultural significance and contemporary buzz. The hotel is part of Chongqing Metropolitan Oriental Plaza with direct access to a premier shopping mall and a Grade A office tower housing key consulates and multinational corporations. The hotel features 308 contemporary guestrooms from floors 19 to 37, including 30 suites, two executive suites and a presidential suite. Overlooking mesmerizing city and garden vistas, including views of the historic octagonal Liberation Monument from some rooms, each room has been intuitively outfitted complimentary Wi-Fi, 55-65” SMART TVs, a Bluetooth sound system and a generous workspace area.
