Business entrepreneur John Parra has purchased the rights to a Monster Tree Service Territory in Northern Rhode Island, covering Cumberland, Lincoln, Smithfield, Johnston, and surrounding areas. Parra aims to officially launch his business in early July. Parra is a seasoned professional in the area of tree care. Drawing on his experience working on his father’s tree farm in Brazil, Parra is excited to continue his family’s legacy in the tree business.

Parra first came to the United States in 1990, while traveling during a break from college. He made Rhode Island his home after getting married and starting a family. He worked for 15 years in the restaurant industry, and then changed careers, working in finance for two major investment firms. Parra is excited for his next career goal, bringing a successful business and quality tree care to his community.

“I am so excited to join the Monster Tree Service team,” says Parra. “I have always loved nature and working outside. I’m looking forward to this new chapter as a small-business owner. I have developed a tight-knit team of tree care professionals that’s like working in a big family. We can’t wait to get started.”
