Milex/Mr. Transmission Store Opens in Bradenton

Store to Offer Complete Range of Automotive and Transmission Repair

July 31, 2019 // Franchising.com // Midlothian, IL - Moran Family of Brands, one of the nation’s leading franchises of general automotive repair, transmission repair and driver safety products, announced its newest franchise location with a Milex Complete Auto Care/Mr. Transmission store in Bradenton, Florida.

The Milex/Mr. Transmission co-branded franchise opened on May 1 and is located at 2109 9th St. W in Bradenton. The new store is owned by Bradenton residents Bill and Sheri Granger. The couple signed with the franchise last year and converted the former Factory Tire Outlet store to the Milex/Mr. Transmission this spring. A grand opening will be held later this fall with a ribbon cutting presentation from the Bradenton Chamber of Commerce and a ceremonial passing of the store’s keys from the former owners of the Factory Tire Outlet to the Grangers.

Milex/Mr. Transmission will offer customers in the area a comprehensive selection of automotive repair and maintenance services. Milex provides customers with preventative maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repair, and radiator and cooling systems and engine repair along with a full range of diagnostic services. Mr. Transmission specializes in repair and installation of a vehicle’s transmission systems and drivetrain components.

Bill Granger spent 17 years as a mechanic working for several car dealerships and spent 10 years in the oil refinery industry with BP. He most recently oversaw management of landfill gas plants at the Manatee County Landfill. Sheri Granger spent 25 years in the healthcare field handling billing coding and office management for family doctor practitioners. In their new business, Bill will handle the service writing and automotive tech work while Sheri will oversee administrative responsibilities such as payroll and invoicing.

“We have received a fantastic initial response from people in the area who were familiar with Factory Tire Outlet being here for 40 years as we transition to the new Milex/Mr. Transmission store,” said Bill Granger. “Our customers are learning they can come to us with any auto repair issue and we will provide honest and straightforward suggestions to meet their vehicle’s needs.”

The Grangers have made several upgrades to the facility since converting it to a full-service auto repair shop. They installed new signage outside the building while recently repainting the office and later have plans to replace the flooring. They remodeled the interior of the store by making new use of the space which used tires and rims were previously stored. Milex/Mr. Transmission will continue to sell new tires at its location. The new store retained three employees from Factory Tire Outlet, two technicians and a customer service representative.
