InterContinental® Ambassador Launches Extensions Program for When Life's Adventures Call

New Benefit Enhancement from IHG® Flexes with your Current Lifestyle – No Questions Asked

August 14, 2019 // Franchising.com // InterContinental® Ambassador, the exclusive member benefits program of InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, is encouraging its members to embrace life’s exceptional and unexpected adventures by offering a new benefit that will provide greater flexibility when life calls. Beginning 14 Aug., InterContinental Ambassadors can take advantage of a once-per-lifetime extension of their annual membership—for up to six months—when their travel plans are interrupted, whether it’s starting a new job or welcoming a baby.

The InterContinental Ambassador program, an elevated tier of IHG® Rewards Club, connects the well-travelled to more than 200 InterContinental Hotels & Resorts worldwide, from the most emblematic historical landmarks, such as InterContinental Lyon – Hotel Dieu, to stunning resorts, including the soon-to-be-opened all-Club Intercontinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort. The membership program offers a range of exclusive benefits, including a complimentary weekend night, guaranteed room upgrade for every stay and exclusive access to private events.

To apply the extension, InterContinental Ambassadors simply visit the website and submit a request, selecting a membership extension option that fits their life and needs. Every member can request a two-month extension at any time, and members who have been a part of the program for at least two consecutive membership years are eligible for a six-month extension.
