Palm Beach County Businesses And Community Team Up To Get Recovery Supplies To The Bahamas

Local Brightway Insurance Agency collects supplies that Rytech transports to shipyard.

September 24, 2019 // Franchising.com // BOYNTON BEACH, FLA. - Following South Florida’s miss hit with Hurricane Dorian, Brightway, The Hite Agency with locations in Boynton Beach and Lake Worth immediately went to work to aid recovery efforts in The Bahamas. The Agency started collecting supplies at both locations and had such a great response they had trouble moving it out of their offices.

“The community’s outpouring of support through donations was phenomenal and frankly exceeded our expectations to the point where we had more supplies than we could physically move,” said Josh Hite, Owner of Brightway, The Hite Agency. “It was a good problem to have, but we needed a cargo van or a box truck, so I called our friends at Rytech and asked if they could donate some time and one of their trucks/vans, and they were happy to step in to help.”

Rytech representatives went to both of Hite’s offices yesterday to help load everything onto one of their trucks and deliver it to a local shipyard. From there, the supplies will go on a boat to Grand Bahama.

“We’re so grateful to our friends at Rytech for donating their time and resources to help get much needed supplies to The Bahamas,” Hite added.

“We are ecstatic to lend a hand to Josh Hite and his team at Brightway,” said Daniel Kurzweil, Marketing and Business Development Director at Rytech of the Tri-County. “They did a great job of getting the community involved in relief efforts - so great that they had four pallets of supplies to move. We’re glad they called us to help out and appreciate that we could do our part to support The Bahamas recovery efforts.”

Brightway, The Hite Agency has been helping families in South Florida protect their homes, cars and much more for seven years.
