Esplendor by Wyndham Unveils New Look Celebrating the Convergence of Art and Experience

The lifestyle hotel brand, recognized for its avant-garde take on historic buildings, relaunches its visual identity and reaffirms its leading role as a curator of artistic and cultural travel experiences

November 15, 2019 // Franchising.com // Buenos Aires, Argentina - Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company with more than 9,200 hotels in over 80 countries, unveiled a new brand identity for its Esplendor by Wyndham brand, a lifestyle hotel chain recognized for combining design, art and architecture in Latin America’s most vibrant cities.

Esplendor hotels curate local design, art, architecture and fashion to incorporate the culture of each destination as part of the guest experience. The new branding, designed by the Argentine agency Hola Sure!, celebrates the “signature of the author” – a nod to the creative spirits who inspire the art and design within each hotel and give the brand its distinctive character.

“Travel trends show a growing interest in guests in discovering new experiences, and Esplendor by Wyndham helps travelers discover an original and artistic experience that defies the ordinary,” said Jimena Faena, senior director of marketing, communications and loyalty at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts for Latin America. “Travelers experience the signature fingerprint of the creative minds that inspire and influence the culture of the city, connecting with them through design and art in the broadest sense.”

To celebrate its new look, Esplendor by Wyndham is also launching a series of social events designed to engage travelers and community members and reinforce the brand’s value as an art and design hub offering attentive service and inspiring experiences.

The first event honoring the Esplendor by Wyndham hotel in Asunción, Paraguay, was held on Wednesday, November 13, at the Cultural Center of the Republic of Paraguay in Buenos Aires. Eduardo Cruz del Río, vice president of operations of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts for Latin America and the Caribbean, joined Jimena Faena together with representatives of companies from both countries and the embassy of Paraguay, for a gastronomic evening and representative cocktails of Paraguay of the renowned bartender Santiago Lambardi.

Among the author’s drinks, all with traditional Guarani herbs, was “Bonita Girl,” which contained vodka, passion fruit juice, lime, cane honey and rosemary. There were also cocktails such as “Purrete” (London dry gin, Cynar, vermouth rosso and slices of smoked pineapple) and “El Chanta” (with London dry gin, lime, pink grapefruit, “burrita” herb syrup and thyme).

In addition Santiago, chef Elizabeth Fleitas Minelli was also in attendance, merging native foods from Paraguay including the gourmet chipá (stuffed with cream cheese and coriander), Payagua (a small fried hamburger prepared with cassava and minced meat) and Mbejú (a starch tortilla with native Paraguayan cheese). Among the desserts, the Boquerón (a honey cane pancake) and the brick Ka’í (made from sweet peanut and cane honey) were distinguished.

“Each Esplendor by Wyndham hotel is unique, but all are united by the pulse of the city and its artists, designers and creators. We thoughtfully include these talented artists in each Esplendor hotel, from the Mondongo Group’s works of art in our Buenos Aires and Rosario hotels, to ongoing short films exhibits in Montevideo, and a unique interior design in Mendoza and El Calafate,” added Faena.

The new branding is also complemented by an advertising campaign conceived and created by The Juju, communicating the unique magic of the Esplendor brand, which celebrates the contrast between classic and modern, art and technology, sophistication and simplicity, and design and comfort to create unique experiences for travelers in the heartbeat of each city.
