Buff City Soap Continues to Clean up Naples

Booming lifestyle brand to open third Florida location, second in Naples area

January 10, 2020 // Franchising.com // Memphis, Tenn. - Florida is getting squeaky clean. Buff City Soap – the Southern-based lifestyle brand changing the way people buy their everyday soap by providing plant-based alternatives - is opening its second Naples location on January 11. The new store will be located at 6270 Naples Boulevard, Unit 3.

The new Naples Buff City Soap location houses a retail store and manufacturing Makery where customers can watch employees create their own customized soaps. This is the third location in the Florida market, joining the first store in Naples and another in Cape Coral. The location will be owned and operated by Cetta and Dennis DiSarro, who also own the first Naples Buff City Soap store.

Prior to being involved with Buff City, both Cetta and Dennis served as firefighter paramedics in Collier County. The DiSarros enjoyed Buff City because of its unique products and the brands focus on providing customers with individual attention to make their own personalized soaps.

“We fell in love with Buff City’s plant-based products and wanted to share that feeling with other people in our community,” Dennis said. “The care and attention to detail that goes into each and every product we offer is why we feel so strongly about this brand. We know firsthand how great Buff City products are and we can’t wait to share our products with the Naples community.”

Buff City Soap was founded in 2013 when Brad Kellum, a former firefighter paramedic discovered that his every day store-bought soap was packed with cow fat and other synthetic materials. He, along with his fiancé and cofounder Jennifer Ziemianin, a registered nurse, began experimenting with a plant-based alternative in their garage.

Now, the brand offers traditional soap bars, along with a men’s care product line, plant-based laundry soap, skin-care products and other accessories. Each shop includes a Makery, where customers can select their ingredients and watch employees handcraft their soap. Furthering its customization promise, the shops host birthday parties, bachelorette nights and other events, and launched a subscription box service.

“Buff City is experiencing rapid growth thanks to multi-unit franchisees like Dennis and Cetta,” said CEO Justin Delaney. “They are knowledgeable brand partners who believe in our mission and our plant-based products and I have no doubt that the Naples community will fall in love with Buff City Soap.”

Buff City Soap has 31 locations open in 10 states, including Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas, Kentucky, Colorado, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. There are currently over 40 additional stores in various stages of development.
