Cheers, Fort Worth! BODYBAR Pilates Opens New Location in the Tanglewood Community

Reformer Pilates Concept Redefines “Happy Hour” in Tanglewood

July 29, 2020 // Franchising.com // FORT WORTH, Texas - BODYBAR Pilates (BODYBAR), known for its use of core Pilates principles with a modern twist, will officially open in the Tanglewood community at 3100 South Hulen Street, Suite 155 (located between Massage Envy and The Madison Reed Color Bar) on Aug. 1.

The new BODYBAR location will be the fourth in the state and the second studio for local owners Kamille and Matt McCollum. Blending its focus on strength, toning and modern movement with a warm, welcoming, spa-like environment, BODYBAR creates an unmatched Pilates experience centered on fostering a destination where its community of members can come together daily to maintain sound mind, body and spirit.

“Matt and I have such a passion for the BODYBAR brand, and want to share that passion with those around us,” said Kamille, COO of BODYBAR Franchising and co-owner of BODYBAR Pilates – Tanglewood and BODYBAR Pilates – West 7th, both located in Fort Worth. “The BODYBAR experience is truly unmatched, and this new opening allows us to expand our transformative, empowering and community-driven fitness option to more people in our awesome Fort Worth community.”

Matt and Kamille first became part of the BODYBAR family as franchise owners in 2015. Their success with their first studio in Fort Worth instilled confidence in BODYBAR ownership to approach the McCollums about taking over executive leadership of the company, so they accepted the offer and took over in June 2019. In addition to guiding the brand’s growth, the duo is leading members at their location on West 7th to new fitness heights and looks forward to growing a community of people who inspire and challenge each other at their new location in Fort Worth.

Using core Pilates principles, each 40 to 50-minute BODYBAR Pilates class is designed to provide a full-body workout that is high-intensity, low-impact and perfect for increasing flexibility, muscle strength, posture and boosting overall health. Whether a member is a 70-year-old wellness guru or a 25-year-old just getting started, the BODYBAR workout can be customized to meet everyone’s personal fitness goals.

“At BODYBAR, our purpose is to create a community of people who respect, encourage and motivate one another to be strong, healthy and happy human beings,” said Matt McCollum, CEO of BODYBAR Franchising and co-owner of BODYBAR Pilates – Tanglewood and West 7th. “To play a part in fostering that community is extremely rewarding, and we’re excited to spread the BODYBAR movement into new communities like Tanglewood.”

From single-use equipment that is disinfected between each workout, to appropriate spacing of the reformers and ample time between classes, BODYBAR’s steadfast commitment to the safety of its members and employees remains top priority. Furthermore, it recently launched its virtual platform, BODYBAR Live. Those who do not currently feel comfortable stepping into the studio can access pre-recorded classes on-demand. With the virtual class option and strategic number of reformers in-studio, BODYBAR franchise owners can maximize revenue and hold a competitive advantage over others in the Reformer Pilates space.
