Fix Auto USA Celebrates 10th Anniversary Milestone

February 05, 2021 // Franchising.com // Charlotte, N.C. - Fix Auto USA  is proudly celebrating its 10th anniversary of business.

Fix Auto USA was founded by collision repair visionaries Erick and Shelly Bickett, who launched their franchise system in 2011, led by Paul Gange. Their goal was to create a national network of high-performing independent body shops and support it with a unified infrastructure of systems and processes to ensure the best quality and service.

“Trusted body shops throughout the West Coast joined our network and quickly distinguished themselves as the best in their markets, leading to more owners joining and the expansion of our Fix Auto USA family,” says Landon Thompson, vice president Operations, Fix Auto USA. “We have since grown to over 150 facilities throughout the U.S., and we’re excited about continuing the energy behind our longstanding brand.”

The first 30 or so trailblazers who joined Fix Auto USA 10 years ago committed to being best-in-class not only for their customers but for each other.

“We were the first Fix Auto USA franchise, joining the network in early 2011 with our Fix Auto Pasadena location,” says Vatche Derderian, owner of Fix Auto Montrose, Fix Auto Pasadena, and Fix Auto Santa Ana. “It was as if we had been using encyclopedias to find everything we need and then we joined Fix Auto USA and suddenly had the internet at our fingertips - because I had other owners to openly work with. It fast-tracked my industry education as well as the expansion of my business.”

Growing from its inaugural locations in California, Colorado and Oregon, the demand for the brand eventually spanned across the country into several states, keeping its culture of accountability along the way.

“The culture at Fix Auto USA is unlike any other, as we have transparency with our network of owners and Fix Auto USA corporate team, giving each other honest feedback and always pushing each other become the best in the industry,” continues Derderian. “Being able to call another owner if you need support, get some advice or just see how each others’ families are doing, it’s just awesome. I got into the industry because of my father, as he opened his first body shop in 1965. Having that family-feel at my shop today while still being able to grow my business has felt like the best of both worlds.”

Fix Auto USA has celebrated many milestones over the years, including expanding into 13 states with over 150 facilities and donating over 14 vehicles to those in need through the National Auto Body Council’s (NABC) Recycled Rides® initiative.

“This tenth anniversary would not have been made possible without our amazing network of owners, our industry partners, and of course, our customers,” comments Thompson. “We are excited to continue the growth of our Fix Auto USA family throughout the year, while also taking time to commemorate this incredible milestone for our brand along the way.”
