Local Driving School Shifts Gears for Student Drivers

Local Entrepreneurs Open 911 Driving School in Snohomish County

April 21, 2021 // Franchising.com // MONROE, Wash. - Buckle up, Monroe. Driver’s education in Snohomish County has taken a turn for the better.

911 Driving School, a subsidiary of The Driver Training Group, a multi-brand driver’s education brand, announced today that it has opened a new location serving Snohomish County.

“Teaching young people to drive is as much an art as it is a science,” said Craig Robertson, owner of 911 Driving School in Monroe. “Our instructors are more than coaches. They are current or former first responders who have a vested interest in the safety of our young drivers. Our goal is to educate young drivers and motivate them to use what they have learned to stay collision-free. We look forward to helping student drivers throughout Snohomish County build safe defensive driving habits that will last them a lifetime.”

Craig and Lisa Robertson have a passion for serving the local community. Craig has more than 17 years of experience in Law Enforcement. He has spent the past five years as a police officer with the Monroe Police Department and is currently assigned to the Monroe School District as a School Resource Officer. Lisa has more than 15 years of experience as an emergency dispatcher. The duo aims to provide safe driving skills through first-hand experiences and instill confidence to parents and loved ones as they send their family out on the roadway.

“I see this as an opportunity to invest in the safety of our community,” added Lisa. “As a business owner, it’s humbling to know that 911 Driving School will play a part in making the roads a safer place for new drivers and local residents within Snohomish County.”

The new Monroe 911 Driving School is located at 17150 W. Main St, Unit D, in the St. Vincent de Paul building.

Using a relevant, research-backed curriculum developed by experts, the 911 Driving School will change the way local students learn to drive. The 911 method focuses on teaching new drivers how to drive defensively to stay-collision free through coaching. It also provides parents with opportunities to be involved in their child’s driver’s education experience and teaches them how to be more effective coaches for their new teen drivers.

911 Driving School was created to inspire, educate, engage and motivate drivers to perform safely and responsibly behind the wheel through online, classroom, and behind-the-wheel instruction. It has developed multiple programs for teen, adult, government, and corporate fleet drivers that go beyond traditional driving lessons or driver’s education courses. Instructors prepare students mentally for driving on the road by helping them understand the driving environment, develop the ability to assess their risks and capabilities in a variety of different driving situations, and help them understand the limits of their vehicle.
