Pizza Factory Makes Big Growth Moves Into the Lone Star State

West Coast Pizzeria Continues National Expansion into New States, Brand Signs Agreement with Seasoned Restaurant Operators to Open First Texas Pizza Factory Restaurant

May 12, 2021 // Franchising.com // FATE, Texas - As fate would have it, Pizza Factory will soon open its first Texas location within the up-and-coming downtown Fate neighborhood at 131 E Fate Main Pl.

Pizza Factory, known for its iconic hometown vibe with an innovative approach to operations, is bringing its West Coast legacy to Texas. The brand’s recent development momentum in the southeast has sparked the interest of seasoned restaurant operators to bring the trending pizzeria concept into emerging markets. The milestone signed agreement for Fate, Texas came to fruition thanks to longtime Pizza Factory operators, Mike and Terri Sanchez.

The Sanchezes, a husband-and-wife entrepreneurial team, have been familiar with Pizza Factory since their upbringing in Filmore, Calif. After falling in love with the brand’s community values and seeing the positive impact that Pizza Factory restaurants have, the Sanchezes became owners themselves, opening multiple locations all throughout Nevada. After operating three stores in total, the duo decided it was time for a change as they started to eye areas in Texas to move and transition out of their existing stores and into a promising area with consumer demand.

“Pizza Factory has always meant a lot to our family. As Mike and I started to look for an opportunity where we could become our own boss, Pizza Factory was an easy choice,” said Terri Sanchez. “After successfully launching three Nevada-based restaurants and seeing firsthand the special connection we formed with the community, we knew expanding with the brand was in our future. Following our family’s move to Texas, Fate was the perfect town for Pizza Factory. We’re extremely excited to bring the concept into a new state and introduce its awesome offerings to more neighborhoods.”

From multiple fast-casual prototypes to a new Express quick-service model, Pizza Factory maintains its reputation for family-friendly dining and high-quality products. The brand specializes in its vast menu offerings, serving fresh, never frozen hand-tossed pizza, pasta, wings, sandwiches, salads, beer, wine and more. As Pizza Factory continues to develop into new markets, the brand is providing multi-unit operators flexible new-build or conversion options with delivery / curbside and traditional dine-in prototypes ranging from 1,000 - 4,000 sq. ft. The largest option typically features multiple dining sections, an arcade area for the kids, banquet rooms for parties and social gatherings and big-screen TVs throughout the restaurant.

“It’s exciting to see our brand reach these new heights with our first Texas location,” said Pizza Factory CEO Mary Jane Riva. “The Sanchez family really are the perfect operators to introduce our brand to Texas. Their commitment to upholding our brand values and forming community connections will undoubtably foster a successful restaurant. As we continue expanding East, and beyond, I’m eager to see our brand captivate new customers.”

With aggressive development efforts underway, Pizza Factory is actively growing and seeking multi-unit operators to develop nationwide.
