Skyhawks Sports Academy Continues Growth Through Franchise Development Efforts

July 19, 2021 // Franchising.com // SPOKANE, Washington - Skyhawks Sports Academy, a youth sports camp franchise, is experiencing record growth and continues its expansion with three new franchise ownership deals across the country.

New Franchise Deals in 2021

  • Skyhawks adds a new location in the New York City metro area, as owner Scott Marchakitus brings camps to the brand-new Fort Athletic Club in Oceanport, New Jersey.
  • The franchise also expands into a new territory in the Southeast, as Alex Garcia Martell brings the brand to Columbia, South Carolina.
  • Two territories in Sacramento, California, are now locally owned, as Ashwin Thirunahari purchases those existing territories which were previously corporately operated by Skyhawks Sports Academy.

“We’re thrilled to work with these local franchise owners to strengthen our mission of teaching life skills through sports,” said Skyhawks Sports Academy President and COO Jason Frazier. “Our success throughout the challenges of the past year and a half has shown the value of that mission, and these owners understand what their communities can gain from making Skyhawks more widely available in their areas.”

These recent deals come as Skyhawks Sports Academy welcomes a record number of participants to its camps across the nation, seeing a roughly 50 percent increase this summer.

In addition to the skill-based sports experience for ages 4 through 12, offering opportunities for kids to choose between roughly a dozen sports, these new deals also bring SuperTots programs to those areas for kids between the ages of 2 – 4.
