Firehouse Subs Kingston To Host Fundraiser on Opening Day

January 05, 2022 // Franchising.com // KINGSTON, Ontario - Firehouse Subs Canada celebrates a big milestone with the grand opening of its 50th location in Ontario, located at 770 Gardiners Road, Unit A007 in Kingston. After opening their first restaurant in Toronto in 2021, multi-unit Firehouse Subs franchisees Pradiptya Banerjee and Parth Patel will open the doors to their second Firehouse Subs restaurant in Kingston on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022.

Kingston Firehouse Subs is the 50th Canadian location for the award-winning restaurant chain, which opened its first Ontario location in 2015 and has quickly grown to 50 restaurants. The franchisees are dedicated to continuing Firehouse Subs’ commitment to helping public safety organizations through Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada, which has granted more than $1.7 million in seven years to hometown heroes throughout Ontario. To highlight the 50th restaurant in Canada, Banerjee and Patel will donate 50 cents from every meal* to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada on the restaurant’s opening day.

Banerjee and Patel’s friendship began when the two met as coworkers at a local bank in 2015. They quickly bonded over a love of food while visiting new and exciting restaurants together almost daily. When another co-worker recommended they add Firehouse Subs to their list, Banerjee and Patel stopped by for lunch and were blown away by the experience. They became regular guests before deciding to become business partners and open their own restaurant. Banerjee and Patel opened the Firehouse Subs located on the Don Mills and York Mills intersection in Toronto in April, and are thrilled to open their Kingston restaurant.

“We completely fell in love with Firehouse Subs the first time we experienced it! Our first restaurant in Toronto has been such a great success, we’re really looking forward to bringing the brand to Kingston,” said Banerjee. “Parth and I are honoured to open the brand’s 50th location in Ontario and give back to hometown heroes while providing hearty and flavourful subs to the Kingston community. We love connecting with fellow foodies and sharing our passion for delicious food. It’s a dream come true!”

The new Kingston Firehouse Subs restaurant, located at the busy Gardiners Road and Princess Street intersection, is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Guests can order takeout service at the counter inside, over the phone or online. Firehouse Subs serves premium meats and cheeses steamed and piled high on a toasted sub roll, served “Fully Involved®” with fresh produce and condiments.

*The opening of the first Firehouse Subs restaurant in Kingston, Ontario is January 5, 2022. The restaurant is located at 770 Gardiners Road, Unit A007 and is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.. For every “meal” sold during opening day at this location, $0.50 will be donated to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada®. A “meal” consists of a medium or large sub, chips or dessert, and a drink.
